Jackson immediately broke out in cold sweats when he heard this. It was clear that Makson got himself into some deep trouble this time!
Meanwhile, a man in his mid-forties, dressed in an impeccable suit, was writing a letter in his office in the hills, when all of a sudden, one of his subordinates burst into the room. "Mr. Wafer, something terrible has happened! Makson Reager from the West Precinct has gotten arrested, along with hundreds of his men!"
This man was none other than Eaden Wafer, one of the most notorious gangsters in Willoughby who commanded an army of hundreds of men. Although he was a gangster, he owned several companies in Drunham City and was also a successful businessman. With his dual identities, one could say that he was one of the most powerful men in the city!
He was so notorious for his malice that everyone who heard his name would cower in fear.
Eaden put down his pen when he heard this. The servant standing next to him immediately handed him a wet towel. Eaden wiped his hands as he turned to the subordinate. "Have you found out why?"
The subordinate quivered, then mumbled, "No! No!"
A glimmer of malice flashed through Eaden's eyes. He handed the towel back to the servant and said with an air of calm dominance, "Send someone to find out why and gather the money needed to bail them out. Also, get the car ready—I need to visit Mr. Reath!"
All of a sudden, a familiar voice rang out, "No need, Mr. Wafer! I've come to you instead!"
