Chapter 28
“Very well then! I’ve never met someone who dares to challenge me like this in all these years of ruling over Drunham City! I was capable of destroying the entire Cole family seven years ago, I can do it again! “Morgan’s face was steely and remorseless.
“Morgan, he’s still got Trent captive. Should we send someone to rescue Trent first?” Jonas asked.
Morgan considered this for a moment, then finally said, “Let’s not give ourselves away just yet. He must’ve been prepared for this, otherwise, he wouldn’t have taken Trent away just like that. Let’s try to call Trent and see what’s going on there!”
They did as he asked. Trent’s phone rang, and Calum handed the phone to Liam. “It must be the Walkers’ calling.”,
Liam picked up. Morgan’s husky voice rang out from the other end of
the line, “If you send Trent back to us, do the same to yourself as what you’ve done to Trent, and beg for our mercy, I might just consider forgiving you.”
Liam sneered. The Walkers were as arrogant as he remembered. They let all the power go to their heads!
“Hello, Morgan!” Liam snarled, a look of fury crossing his face.
“I didn’t think you remembered me! You heard what I said; you’d better send my son home if you still want to see the sun! Your family had the naivety to challenge me seven years ago, and it seems you never learned your lesson! Remember what we did to you in the past!”
“Is that so? Well, I’d like to see you try again! I’ll be waiting for you. with open arms in seven days, Morgan! If you don’t show up, I will go to you instead-mark my words!”
With that, Liam hung up and tossed the phone to Calum, sneering Still as cocky as ever!”
Calum took the phone with a look of disgust. “They don’t know who they’re messing with!”
Meanwhile, Morgan was fuming. He hurled his phone onto the ground and bellowed. “That cocky little twat!”
Everyone was equally outraged after having overheard the
conversation.
