It was impossible for there to be no news.
But she had never seen any news of the Miller Group, so it completely disappeared from her phone.
"No reason, no reason, impossible!"
Alice could not understand anything and continued to write news.
Suddenly, she thought of something and immediately reread the news. There was a line on it: CEO Patrick Miller had held a press conference a few days ago and said that there was a malicious attack.
Someone attacked maliciously.
Alice's body shivered. It was so cold that she couldn't say a word.
She could not think of a second person who could destroy Miller Group to such a state in such a short time.
Her phone could not print the Miller news, and the name on the blacklist had disappeared as well.
During this month, there was no news of Miller at all. Daniel had said before that within the boundaries of Imperial Castle, those things could be controlled;
When she arrived at the resort, all the signal was gone and all the mobile phones had been taken away.
The young staff recognized her as Mary's older sister, and was about to speak with her, but was interrupted by Daniel. From then on, none of the staff members spoke with her even once, and she thought that it was because she didn't return her phone, but it seems that it wasn't so.
William Cullen didn't let her in while he was working, saying that he was doing a robotic program.
She took out a bag, and the bodyguard was so careful that even the Draw had to be inspected. If she did not say something, the bodyguard would have discovered the newspaper.
With the sum of all the points, they formed a line and slowly became clear in Alice's mind.
It was William.
William was harming Patrick, and he was even hiding this from her.
He never thought of letting Patrick go.
She, on the other hand, stayed by William's side without knowing anything. She was moved without knowing anything, and she was even thinking about the future that she and William might have...
But this man had never let Patrick go.
"Master, what's wrong? Your heart is beating very fast." Mr.robot stood to the side, using his mechanical hands to support Alice, who was constantly retreating.
"Why not?"
she whispered, her voice sad.
Her mind kept going over and over the words on the news: bankruptcy, malicious attacks, blood, serious illness
It was all because of her.
Because of her, William would go deal with Patrick.
Miller Group collapsed and Patrick was sick.
"Why aren't you letting me go?"
Alice could not accept it. She reached out her hands and held her head, slowly lowering her body, gritting her teeth as she bit into her lips until they cracked, and the smell of blood seeped into her mouth.
"Master, are you alright? Do you need me to take you to the hospital? " he asked.
Suddenly, the sound of footsteps came from outside.
The alarm in Alice's heart rang, without much thought she stood up, crumpled the newspaper into a ball and threw it into the dustbin, and stood with her back facing the door.
She still didn't have any evidence, so she couldn't start a dispute with William just like that.
Otherwise, she would only be tortured in the end.
"Alice, you just went to pick up the courier?"
William's voice sounded from behind her, his voice low and magnetic.
Alice turned her back to him, reached out her hand and touched her eyes, adjusting her expression, then turned around as if nothing had happened, and said indifferently, "Those two bodyguards even said that they wouldn't tell you."
They had betrayed her so quickly.
William Cullen, who was at work, also ran over to stare at her. What was he afraid of? Are you afraid there's a problem with the delivery? "How could the person that I, William employed betray me so easily?" William said arrogantly, his gaze landed on her lips, and his black eyes immediately filled with pain. He anxiously pulled her in front of him, "Why is your lips broken?"
"I bit lips when I ate the Egg-Fried Rice. It's fine." Alice licked her lips and put the drop of blood into her mouth. The smell of the fresh blood made her feel an unspeakable bitterness.
"Egg - Fried Rice, what are you so anxious about!? Does it hurt? "
William Cullen asked nervously, and his eyebrows knitted tightly.
He put a hand on her back and lowered his head to kiss her on the lips, as if that would drive the pain out of her.
Looking at his worried expression,Alice's heart was filled with a peculiar feeling. She was unable to utter a single word in response to the words that she had just been prepared to say.
If it was really him who did it
She didn't dare imagine how deep the intentions behind paranoia's outer appearance really was.
"It's really nothing." Alice took a step back and asked, "Aren't you working right now?"
"I'm not saying that you received a comic book. Let me take a look!"
Saying that, William immediately turned his head to look at the Draw on the table.
Alice glanced at the dustbin, and saw that it was right beside her leg.
She carefully walked over and lightly kicked from behind, bringing the dustbin to an inconspicuous position.
"No, let's talk about it when we get back." Alice said.
"You know why I don't keep one?"William rummaged through it for a bit, but didn't find any comics. He looked at Alice with dissatisfaction and said, "Are you lying?
Wasn't he lying too?
He kept her by his side. He seemed a lot nicer to her than before, but he was still controlling her. She couldn't see any news on her cell phone.
She remained silent as William stared at her again, "Why are you lying to me?"
Alice forced out a smile, "I want to give you a surprise when we go back."
He still thinks her cartoon is their story.
No.
Never.
