She liked the self-confidence on William's face when he was talking about technology and the shopping mall. It was elegant, noble and enchanting.
Suddenly, a figure flashed past her and ran very fast.
Alice turned her head in shock, but didn't see anything.
Guests still stood together and chatted.
The band in the white frock coat was playing in the oblivion, setting off the height of the dinner party with music.
Who was that figure that just ran over?
Why does it feel a little familiar?
"I have already read the works of the Miss Clyne. The language is humorous and interesting. I really like it." A woman took out a cup of wine and toasted to Alice, "I especially like that saying, "the strong have always been the kings, while I am the King."
Alice turned her face over and immediately picked up a glass of champagne to clink with her, "Thank you."
This sentence was what the main character in the cartoon was questioned about the power of the aristocrat's descendants.
The people here were all surrounding William to flatter his, but when a woman suddenly ran out, she was a fan of her comics, causing Alice happy.
"When is the second book released?" I'll wait and see. " The female companion asked eagerly, "Will it come out again?"
"Yes, I will soon finish the second volume."
Alice said with a smile.
When the male partners saw this, their faces turned ugly. They pushed the woman and whispered, "Don't embarrass me, alright? He is Mr. Cullen's girlfriend now, and her painting is a dark history, why did you bring it up?"
Alice heard it and said nonchalantly, "I don't think it's a dark history, and I really like painting."
Everyone listened in astonishment.
As Mr. Cullen's girlfriend, didn't she feel that drawing small comics was a dark history? It couldn't have been any darker.
William lowered his gaze to look at Alice, his black eyes focused on her, listening to her speak with especially comfortable ears. After she finished speaking, William looked at the male guest and asked, "Is this your woman?"
The male guest looked at William but could not tell whether he was happy or angry. He held his female companion's hand and said , "This is my wife, Mr. Cullen. She did know the world and hope you that do not mind."
"Your wife is quite good. You said earlier that you wanted to develop a product with N.E., so you left your card with my housekeeper. As long as there aren't too many problems with the project, I'll invest."
William said in a low voice.
Hearing that, the male guest looked at William in shock, then excitedly exchanged glances with his wife, happily took out his name card and handed it over to Daniel, "Thank you Mr. Cullen, thank you Mr. Cullen!"
"..."
The other guests were all standing there in shock. They had only said a few words of flattery towards William's girlfriend, yet they had already gotten someone like William to invest in them.
Everyone gathered around, wanting to compliment Alice.
William hugged Alice and left, Alice smiled as she looked at him, "There's no need to be like this, so you want to casually give someone an investment?"
William embraced her, and lowered his eyes to look at her, the corners of his mouth curving into an evil smile, "I like to hear others praising you!"
"The more others praise you, the happier I'll be!"
William said arrogantly as he raised his eyebrows.
This one is not human.
Alice laughed helplessly. Suddenly, she felt goosebumps all over her body, causing her to stop in her tracks and turn her head to look around.
"What's wrong?"
William looked at her, his black eyes focused.
Alice retracted her gaze, and said: "I feel that someone was staring at me."
"Everyone here is staring at you." William said.
Is there anyone here who doesn't look at her?
She was the center.
"No, not that kind of look." Alice said, she wanted to explain it clearly, but she could not, and in the end she dejectedly said, "I can't say, anyways it makes me feel uncomfortable."
"Is that so?" William cast a glance at her, the corner of his mouth hooked up in an evil grin, and he said, "Then stand at the center of attention! Let those people see how well you're!"
After saying that, William led her to the front. Alice looked at him in puzzlement, "What do you mean?"
What did it mean to let those people see it?
Who?
Alice walked to the front of the symphony orchestra and waved her hand. All of the orchestra members stopped, and the place immediately became silent.
Alice could feel that everyone's gazes were on her.
She watched as William walked to the front of a piano. The zither wielder who was wearing a white evening gown saw William walking over and immediately stood up with a red face and retreated to the side.
William let go of Alice's hand and walked to the piano, sitting straight and gracefully.
Alice looked at him in shock. What was he trying to do?
Everyone slowly gathered around and looked at William.
His eyes were deep and the thin lip raised it up slightly as he said, "Everyone knows that my girlfriend is called Alice, and also knows her identity. She grew up in a family and she was looked down by others, and her relationship with her adoptive parents was cut off."
The entire place was silent.
Alice looked at him in shock. Even if others knew of her negative side, he didn't need to say it out loud, right?
What was he trying to do?
