William sat there, his body unmoving, his hand gripping the glass even more tightly.
The glass had already cut through his palm, and blood dripped into his fingers. Droplets of it fell onto the carpet, staining it white with blood.
"Today, I told you Alice's whereabouts. If you get back together with her, then the war between you and your father would truly start." Elizabeth was too clear about what kind of terrifying scene that would be.
"If you marry Mona and take care of all the family responsibilities, I'll advise your father to let Alice stay by your side. That way, she'll still be able to take care of the child, isn't it good?" Elizabeth said sincerely. This was already the last step she could take.
She kept the war between father and son from breaking out.
She was tired.
"You talked about my brother, so you want me to feel guilty that I will not take his responsibility?" William suddenly laughed coldly, laughed sarcastically and looked at Elizabeth with cold eyes.
Elizabeth stared at him with reddened eyes.
William stared at her, and the curve of his lips grew larger and larger. He was clearly mocking her, but there was a distinct bitterness to his words, "I agree, I'll marry Mona, and make Alice a pitiful lover; I don't agree, I'll let brother down, I'll let Cullen Family down, and whether Alice dies or is placed under house arrest, I'll never see her again, right?"
He spoke so sorrowfully just to tell her that.
Elizabeth looked into his eyes and said, "William, everyone has their own perspective. Your father wants the prestige of the Cullen Family, and he wants our family to get along well."
"What about me?" William looked at her and asked with a smile, "Have you considered me before?"
Whatever they wanted, he wanted.
"William!"
William did not speak.
Too long a silence.
William suddenly opened his mouth and threw the blood-stained glass down. His palm was badly mutilated, so he stood up from the sofa and walked out, saying word by word, "I will think about it."
The voice was bitter.
Elizabeth watched his back, watched as her hands continued to drip fresh blood, one by one, down the road.
Her heart continued to ache.
As time passed, the scenery in front of the tower became more and more different. In the morning, the entire seaside was shrouded in a wet mist, and from afar, it was hard to see clearly.
Alice drew the tower in the mist and folded the drawing before placing it into the < Baby's Journal >.
She stood on the easel for a long time, tired.
Her heavy body made her less and less able to stand. Her back ached and her waist ached.
"Miss Clyne, the fog won't disperse in a short period of time. Let's go in." Charles stood in the thick fog, holding a black umbrella to cover the fog for Alice.
His suit was already wet.
"Alright."
Alice said indifferently, supporting her waist with one hand, she walked towards the tower.
Standing at the door, she looked at the big fog outside, reaching out her hands to touch it, her fingertips were cold, she could not help but ask, "Charles, I only have 13 more weeks before the due date, right?"
"Yes, Miss Clyne."
Charles nodded.
"There are only 13 weeks left." Alice said, her voice was so soft that it sounded like it had never been heard before. She looked at the big fog in front of her, "The fog by the sea is very beautiful, right?"
"Yes."
"Tell me, am I that cheap? After being put under house arrest for so long, I actually started to feel that this place is so beautiful that I don't even want to leave." Alice said while standing at the door and looking at the mist, and laughed at herself.
Charles stood by her side and turned his body slightly to look at her clean and pretty face. He then shifted his gaze to the bitter smile on the corner of her lips and said, "It's not that Miss Clyne thinks this place is beautiful, it's because you don't want to be separated from your baby."
Only 13 weeks remained.
As soon as the baby was born, she was forced to separate from the baby. She could not bear to part with it.
Yeah.
She didn't want to be separated from the baby.
"I didn't expect that my baby and I would only be together for a few months of pregnancy." Alice blinked, her eyes a little sore, "Do you know, I'm an abandoned baby. Before, I never thought of going to my own biological parents, and I even resented them occasionally."
"Miss Clyne!"
Charles looked at her.
"Now I wonder if they had some desperate reason to leave me behind." Alice said, her eyes a little red, "Perhaps in the future, I will be the one to be resented."
"Miss Clyne, that won't happen. In the future, I will definitely take out the 'Baby Diary' to your child."
Charles swore an oath to her.
"Thank you."
Alice nodded at the big fog outside, her voice was filled with gratitude.
She really didn't want the babies to resent her.
"Miss Clyne, what are your plans after we leave this place?" Charles gazed at her and asked, his tone filled with concern.
Accompanying Alice for a long time, Charles saw some differences from a noble in this young woman.
He watched her desperately trying to think of a way to escape to fate. He watched as she resolutely stared at the surging sea. In the end, she still couldn't bear to see her heart burn.
Avery tough girl.
Alice stood there quietly, looking at the big fog in front of her, her eyes seemed to be filled with darkness, as if it was a cloudy day.
What are your plans after you leave here?
She had nothing left, so what else could she do? Start again? How could she start again? She couldn't even hold onto her baby anymore, and there was only despair in her life.
Perhaps the sea beyond the fog would be her best destination.
