C—ould not find you.
What a good excuse.
Alice walked over, sat down on the other side of the sofa, and said in a bitter voice, "It's because you don't want to find me, right? If you want to find me, then you can enter my life anytime, anywhere, like now."
If he wanted to find her, she wouldn't be able to hide.
The two sat on the opposite end of the white sofa, about a meter apart.
"I just can't find you! There's no signal, no network. How am I supposed to find you? My parents have also been hindering my people from investigating in secret, they even found that place but missed you! " William said in a somewhat loud voice, like a child who had been wronged and wanted to prove himself.
Alice sat on the soft sofa, her eyelashes trembled lightly as she listened to his words, and asked, "Did you really look for me?"
She didn't know if she could trust him anymore.
"Do you want me to do a polygraph test?"
William glared at her.
Alice lowered her eyes and looked at the white floor. Just like that, she knew the answer, which was completely different from what she had imagined.
It wasn't that he didn't want to come to see her, but that he couldn't find her.
"You've been waiting for me to save you, haven't you?" William stared at her and asked.
Was it meaningless?
She blinked her sore eyes, looked at the ground and said, "I'm the one asking you, not you asking me."
William coldly snorted, "What else do you want to know?"
"If you can't find me, you won't be looking for me, right? So, you and Mona made an engagement oath." Alice asked.
Everything she said had tormented her. She wanted a clear answer.
Anyway, she wasn't afraid of hurting herself again.
He never expected her to directly ask this. William sat there with a dazed expression on his face, "It's not like that."
"Then what it was?"
Alice asked.
William turned his body, looked at Alice, "I couldn't find you, my mother said that as long as I'm engaged with Mona, she will tell me your whereabouts."
Hearing this, Alice's body shook violently. She turned around and looked at William's pale face in disbelief, "What did you say?"
It was Elizabeth.
"I said, I made the oath for your sake!"
His eyes were so focused on her.
"If it's not because of you, why would I, William, be bothered to do so?" William said.
Alice looked at him in a daze.
In that instant, Alice almost believed his words. She believed that he was looking for her.
After a moment, she suddenly regained her senses, turned her face away and coldly said, "William, is it not against your moral to say such words? You and Mona were hooked up a long time ago, when you were receiving treatment."
"My illness has not been cured."
William said with a sexy voice. He no longer hid anything from her.
He had thought that he had pushed her away for the good of both of them, but then he discovered that he could not bear to lose her.
He had had enough in the past half year.
Alice looked at William, "What did you say?"
What did he mean?
"I lied to you back then." William said casually as he curled up on the sofa and looked at her.
She sat there, her eyes were full of surprise.
"Deceiving me? Why?"
Alice's face was filled with shock, she could not accept the fact that there were so many things that were completely opposite of what she was thinking.
How many things had he hidden from her? What did he mean by not treating his illness? What did he mean by lying to her?
Did he fail to cure his paranoid personality disorder? Then why did he want to break up with her, why did he want to hook up with Mona?
He had kissed Mona and humiliated her completely in front of her.
"Because at that time, I thought it would be better if we split up." William stared at her face and enunciated each word slowly.
"I don't understand what you mean."
"Can I not tell you the reason?" William looked at her as he explained in a low voice, he did not want her to know the reason behind this.
Alice sat on the white sofa and looked at him gloomily. "William, don't always keep me in the dark as if I'm a fool."
"You are the woman that I, William, want, how can you be a fool?"
"Then tell me, what is all this about!" Alice said excitedly, "When I asked you this question, why didn't you tell me why you had humiliated me time and time again? "
The breakup was for another reason.
