Xavier sat there, he raised his eyes and looked at William sternly, and said coldly, "If you really knew your wrongs, you wouldn't have done such a thing."
It's not like he knows he's wrong.
"My mistake is not having asked you for permission, but I still have to make this engagement with Alice." William said word by word, "The background of my family is very complex, I had no choice but to come up with this plan, please forgive me."
Respectfully.
It was the demeanor of a junior.
Alice stared at him blankly. He clearly minded York, and even Brown Family, but he was still standing here.
Xavier and Beverly looked at each other, then stood up from the chair and walked out, saying coldly, "Come with me."
"Yes."
William answered, he followed him out.
Alice immediately stood up from the bed and wanted to leave with them. Beverly grabbed her hands and said, "Alright, let your father go and talk with him. You can't make him think that you don't have a family to support you, or he will bully you."
Alice could only sit down and say, "William treats me very well, he won't bully me."
"You haven't even gotten married yet and you defend him." Beverly looked at her with a slightly heartbreaking expression, "Truly, a girl cannot be kept forever."
"Mother!"
Alice looked at Beverly helplessly.
"Alright, you don't have to worry about him. I've discussed it with your father, and we won't stop you." Beverly said.
Alice was startled, so that was how it was. Her parents had already discussed this beforehand, no wonder her father didn't scold her when she came in and even gave her half of the apple.
Beverly said as she pulled her, "We are not clear about William's character, but your father said that he is someone who does great things. Furthermore, the only good thing about him doing all these is that he can live with you. This means that he truly loves you and dares to take the risk."
Alice never thought that her parents had already analyzed this matter so thoroughly.
Her worries were unnecessary.
She couldn't help chuckling. "It's good to have understanding parents. I was prepared to cry until you agreed."
"What, you only know now that you're afraid we won't agree?"
Beverly scolded.
Alice lowered her head, "I'm afraid that you two will break off all relations with me."
She loved her parents very much. She finally got a warm home with great difficulty. She really didn't want to lose it again.
Hearing this, Beverly's eyes immediately reddened, and she pulled Alice into her embrace, "Fool, you're our daughter, how can we bear to break off all relations with you? As long as you're happy, we're satisfied."
She knew that her daughter was nervous because of her previous experience and was afraid of being abandoned.
"Thank you, mother." Alice leaned into her embrace and hugged her tightly, "You're the best mother in the entire world."
"Forget about the past and live the rest of your life well."
Beverly patted her and hugged her.
They leaned against each other, feeling incomparable warm.
Suddenly, Beverly sighed, "However, we are all thinking for your sake, but there is someone without being taken care of, I don't know what to do either."
Of course, Alice knew who Beverly was talking about. She sat up from Beverly's embrace and asked, "Has Patrick returned to Italy?"
When she entered the ward and did not see Patrick, Alice subconsciously thought that he had gone back to Italy.
"No, he eavesdropped that your father and I were discussing your marriage at noon today, so he left. Until now, he still hasn't come back, and even if we call him, we won't be able to reach him." Beverly said, her eyebrows knitted tightly.
"What? Patrick is gone? "
Alice stood up immediately and looked at Beverly in shock.
"Yes, we indeed fail child. He wholeheartedly helped you and the Brown Family and did many things for you. We did want him to be with you at first." Beverly sighed.
The matter about Patrick was not easy to resolve.
Alice asked anxiously, "Did you not find Patrick even now?"
Beverly nodded, "Yeah, I don't know where he went, but he said he was just taking a walk, so we don't need to worry."
"How could this be?"
Alice stood there and took the phone from Beverly. When she called Patrick, she was informed that his phone had beem switched off.
Patrick.
Where would he go?
Alice returned the phone to Beverly, then looked at her. "Mother, are you really alright?"
"I didn't feel anything at first, but when I arrived at the hospital I got even more sleepy. I just slept for a long time, and now that I'm more energetic, I'm completely fine. I shall stay here for another night and then I'll be able to go home." Beverly said as she comforted her daughter.
Hearing her mother's words, Alice's eyes rolled, and then she said, "It's good that you're fine. Then I will not stay here to accompany you, William and I will go find Patrick."
"Sure." Beverly nodded, "Patrick isn't by his parents' side right now, and we are the only ones worrying about him."
