His coat, she thought, would be wet.
The lights of the city came on, illuminating every street.
Alice drove at the slowest speed and quietly followed William as she returned back to the N.E.
But he did not go in.
Alice sat on the carriage as she watched William walk to the opposite side of the building step by step. Standing under a tree, she looked at the majestic N.E.
She couldn't know what he was thinking.
Under the night sky, snowflakes gently drifted down.
The tree had strings of small lanterns, bright red against the snow. He stood motionless, letting the snow melt on his coat.
Alice followed his gaze and looked towards the N. E Building. There were a few lights that were not lit inside the building, making it look pitch black.
The front door was bright, but the brightness was not pleasant, for the clerks came out with their suitcases.
They were all leaving this place, to leave the paranoia's rule.
They all thought there was a better place to stay.
However, none of them knew how much paranoia had invested for N.E. In this place, everything was William's doing than Cullen’s house.
How would William accept it?
Alice looked at William, only to see William taking out his phone from her pocket. She was quietly watching, when her phone suddenly rang.
She sat on the Driver and picked up her phone, reflecting William's name.
He was calling her.
Alice immediately picked up the phone and looked in the direction of William. The wiper was swiping from time to time, brushing the snow to the side. William's face was sometimes clear and sometimes blurry in her line of sight.
"William."
Alice said.
"Did you bandage your feet?"
William asked her.
Alice lowered her eyes to look at her dried up foot, and said with a light voice. "Mn, I've finished bandaging it."
"Is that so?" William stood under the tree, his eyes still staring at N.E. his voice was so low that could not be heard, "Are you resting?"
"That's right, I'm resting. What about you? Where are you? I'll go find you, okay?"
Alice didn't want him to know that she had followed him the entire way, chased after him.
He would be angry.
"Alice." He called her name, in a voice that was particularly sexy.
"I'm here."
Alice said softly.
"You told me before. William, if you keep this strange temper of yours, others would leave you." William said as he looked at the N.E Tower on his phone. He slightly raised his chin, and a bit of snow fell into his eyes.
Alice stared blankly at him. Then, she recalled the memory and said, "That was a long time ago.
A long, long time ago.
At that time, she hadn't fallen in love with him yet. She didn't like his bad temper, so she had said that.
She regretted it now and wanted to take back the words.
Can she take it back?
"I told you then, the person who left shouldn't have remained." William said in a low voice, his voice resonating beside his phone, "Only now did I realize that I was wrong. Everyone left me, and maybe even if N.E does."
Hearing that, Alice was stunned, and her eyelashes slightly trembled, "It won't, William. I know you're having a hard time right now, but don't worry about it. Just take this as a long vacation and adjust your mood. You'll know what to do with N.E., won't you? N.E. won't fall."
His technology empire, and his feelings for his big brother and his memories of him will not fall apart.
"Alice, I know that my illness was bad."
William asked.
Alice was speechless, "William."
"I have an illusion." William continued, his voice carried a tinge of grievance, as though he was a child.
"What did you say?"
Alice was shocked, and she looked at William who was not far away.
William stood under the tree, raised a hand and pressed it against his eyes, then said, "I feel that I'm like a lunatic now."
Many times, he didn't want to curse or lose his temper.
However, he was becoming unable to control himself increasingly.
"Shouldn't lunatics not know that there's something wrong with themselves? But why would I be so clear about seeing my condition worsen? How can I be so clear about the fact that I become a lunatic? " William said self - deprecatingly. His eyes became even redder after being pressed by the finger, and a faint glimmer of water appeared in his eyes.
"William, you are just under too much pressure now. It's okay, believe me. We'll be fine after the treatment. N.E. needs you too, so you have to pull yourself together."
Alice said.
She listened to his voice full of self -destruction.
She did not want to see William like this.
"Then what if it can't be cured?" William asked. Alice was speechless, because who could guarantee a 100% recovery?
"If I can't cure it, then N.E. will be destroyed, and more and more people will leave me. Daniel will also leave, and the twins will also leave me. But, you can't leave. " William said in a low voice, "You will be imprisoned, and I will not allow you to have freedom. You have connections, and I will watch over you 24 hours until you begin to resist, then I will accidentally kill you. Perhaps, I will even cut you into pieces, and perhaps, I will make your corpse into...."
She was his greatest obsession. A mentally handicapped person could do anything.
