At this point, how could William not understand?
He frowned and asked coldly, "Are you following me? Are you worried about me? "
"What about the facts?" Alice looked at him indifferently, "What else do you want to explain? Said you've never been into Mona's room? Say you're just a relationship between a doctor and a patient? You say that you have nothing between you?"
"I'm innocent."
William said with a gloomy face.
Alice laughed again. She didn't know why she wanted to laugh so badly today. Was the one who was funny him, or her?
" William, we will only meet in court and we won't meet too many times. Can you stop lying and tell me the truth?" Alice mocked her, "Even if you say that this is just a show, you can still say that Mona will still get married, and that you will also get married. Your relationship is just a physical one, and it doesn't mean anything."
He could say that, or at least not lie to her.
But he was lying now.
"I do have something to do with Mona, but I didn't touch her. I didn't lie to you.I can show you the evidence."
William said.
"William, don't lie me! Yesterday, I was standing outside your room calling you! I waited in front of the hotel all night last night! " Alice couldn't stand him lying again and again, and her emotions became agitated. "Or do you want to tell me that you two have been chatting all night under a blanket?"
Who would believe such nonsense?
He could become indifferent to her, and he could change his mind, but he could not deceive her as if she were a fool, and she would find herself ridiculous.
"You don't believe me?"
William stared at her and asked coldly.
Alice took a step back, "If it was the past William, I would have believed it no matter what he said.
With that, Alice turned and left with large strides.
Footsteps came from behind him.
In the next second, her wrist was held tightly by someone from behind. She turned around and William glared at her with anger, "To put it bluntly, you think that William was good for nothing in the past, but you don't like the past William. Alice, don't forget what you said yourself. You said that as long as I am willing to cure myself, it doesn't matter whether my love for you has faded or not. Did you say that?"
Alice's body turned cold as she stared at him blankly.
Her eyes reddened when she heard him mention it.
"I did."
How could she forget?
For the past four years, she had survived on the meagre memories they had of each other.
"Then why are you breaking your promise now? Do you know how I've been doing these four years to cure illnesses? " William stared at her and said with an angry tone of voice.
He had put in a lot of effort to become what he was today.
Previously, she was the one who had been hoping for him to cure her. Now that he had been cured, she was the one to reminisce about the past William . What did she want him to do?
Alice stood there with her wrist tightly grasped by him. Her nose was extremely sour and her eyes were filled with despair, " William, I said that I will love you for life, no matter how you turn out. However, back then, I never thought that there would be a change called change of heart."
She could endure his love for her fading, but how could she watch him going after other women?
William stared into her eyes, and was pierced by the despair in her eyes.
"I haven't changed my mind. I still want you."
"No," he said.
"If you haven't changed your mind, you will let Mona sit on your body, and you will get a room with her?" Alice looked at him and asked, "Ask your heart, do you really love me? To you, I am only representing the pressure of public opinion. You will benefit the most by marrying me. What do you care about what I like and what I want?"
William stared at her deeply, the thin lip moved, "You want a home.l'm giving it to you right now."
He always remembered what she wanted.
"Not like this." Alice said as she reached out to push his arm away, looking at him resolutely.
Step by step, she backed away.
This time, William did not come forward to hold her hand. He looked at her and asked, "You still love that William from before."
Only the past William could give her everything she wanted.
Alice retreated back while nodding, her voice choked with emotions, "En."
William stood there and immediately clenched the hand by his side into a fist.
"Sorry, I said it doesn't matter, but once you change, I can't really do it." Alice blinked her dry eyes as she choked on her words. She tried her best to make every word clear, "You don't understand what I want, but I can't give what you want. We really can't walk together."
With that, Alice turned and left.
Snow fell on her.
William did not chase . He stood there, staring at Alice 's back with her black eyes. He clenched his fists tightly, and a layer of silvery -white snow covered his short hair.
Alice walked forward until she disappeared from William's sight.
She took out her cell phone and wanted to call Daniel to pick her up, but she was wearing too little today. In order to leave a last beautiful impression on William, she didn't even wear a down jacket.
So cold.
Alice was no longer as persistent as she was just now. She allowed herself to tremble from the cold and her phone to fall from her hand.
She crouched down and picked it up, then swiped her finger across the screen a few times. She drew it onto the photo album page and what entered her eyes was the wedding photo that was taken the day she and William got engaged.
