"I'm ready, let's go." Alice put away the cup and wiped her mouth.
Inside, she was still wearing the disease suit, her head was wrapped in gauze, she had a fever, her face looked pale, as of she would collapse at any time.
William stared at her as he turned and walked out, "Let's go."
"Yes." Alice lifted her leg and walked out, but Daniel could not help but call out to her, "Alice."
He no longer called her Miss Alice in front of William.
Alice turned her head around, and Daniel took off his scarf from a hanger to help her put it on, he looked at her benevolently, "You have always been sensitive of coldness, wear more."
William stood at the door and looked at them indifferently.
"I know."
Alice tried her best to smile so that Daniel would not worry.
"Pay attention to your safety. Bring the medicine with you." Daniel and Alice had lived four years together, he was not worried about his young master but her. He put the medicine into Alice's pocket and helped her tie the scarf, "I'll bring you some thermos with hot water."
"Alright." Alice nodded, looking at Daniel's worried expression, "Don't worry, I am only going to hand over the ransom."
Alice hugged Daniel for a bit, then turned and walked out, following William.
Daniel prepared a black car and parked it at a hidden spot at the back door of the hospital.
"Check one last time."
William said coldly.
A few bodyguards opened the safe. Inside were piles of cash and expensive jewelry.
"All ready, Mr. William."
The bodyguard locked the safe.
"Get in." William looked at the sickly Alice and nodded. Then, he opened the door of the Driver and sat down.
William sat on the Driver and fastened his seat belt with a mask on his face, he started the car, stepped on the accelerator and drove away, heading towards Wealth Plaza.
"How to hand over the ransom? Park the car at the Wealth Plaza and they drive it away? "
Alice asked.
The kidnappers had such a big appetite, and the car was loaded with too many heavy safes.
"The plaza is full of people. They wouldn't do that sort of thing."
William said, his voice was extremely calm.
"That's why you didn't ask anyone to wait at the plaza in advance." Alice understood him. With so many people in the plaza, the kidnappers would not take the ransom there.
"If we deploy some men and the kidnappers see it through, the two children will be in danger."
William said.
Alice nodded. The reason the kidnappers wanted them to go to the plaza was to monitor them, to see if they called the police.
"Ahem,ahem,ahem."
Alice began to cough violently, to the point that her chest felt a chill, the pain was extremely intense.
"The thermos is at the back seat. Take it yourself."
William glanced at her with his black eyes and said.
"Alright." Alice replied but did not go to get the thermos. She did not have any mood to drink water right now, she only wanted to save the twins.
William drove to Wealth Plaza. There were many people walking around the plaza, it was bustling.
Everything seemed very normal.
William parked the car in front of a sculpture. It was a sculpture of an angel, a man and a woman hugged each other. The man spread open his wings wide, as if he was flying with his beloved woman to heaven, it was a famous attraction for lovers in the city.
After William stopped the car, everything was quiet.
His black eyes looked around at his surroundings, looking at all unfamiliar faces around him, Alice asked, "What do we do now?"
With that said, Alice's phone started to ring.
It was an unknown number. William looked at her, "Turn on the speaker."
"Alright."
Alice nodded and turned on the speaker. Holy's young and tender yet calm voice came out, "Very good, you have finally arrived at the plaza. Now, I want to check if it is Alice herself." "Holy, are you okay?" Alice immediately asked anxiously when she heard her son's voice.
It was too much for the kidnapper to make such a young child read the request over and over again.
Hearing her voice, Holy paused for a moment, and continued after a few seconds of silence, "Alice, go to the Angel Statue now, immediately."
The kidnapper didn't seem to allow her son to talk to her.
Alice glanced at William, and said, "Alright, I will go right now, please do not harm my child."
With that, Alice unbuckled her seat belt and walked out of the car. A gust of wind blew past, making her feel extremely uncomfortable.
A hand wrapped around her waist.
Alice looked at him in astonishment, William held her in his arms as she walked towards the Angel Statue, "Let's go."
He shielded her from the wind.
With him holding her, Alice felt much better. She walked to the front of the angel statue, and looked around at her surroundings with dull eyes. The passersby all smiled at them and treated them like normal couple, and they did not recognize Alice.
There was a shopping mall in the distance.
