Hearing such absolute words, Alice didn't know what to say either. She looked at William and pursed her lips.
She looked at William, "Then what kind of wife do you want me to be?"
"Very simple." William took another bite of the apple, "Love me, only have me in your eyes, but don't stick to me, I hate this kind of behavior, you only need to stay at home, you don't need to show yourself, just take good care of these two children, and don't interfere with me, that's enough."
Alice went silent, she turned and looked at the sky outside the window.
The one who used to be most sticky now told her that he hated being attached to.
"What do you think?" William asked.
"Isn't there still a few more days before the press conference?"
Alice admitted that she did not think it through. She did not know if she could do everything he said.
William bit the apple so hard that the sound was clear, his black eyes stared at her face, "I have to prepare in advance, you won't let me stand on stage before the press conference to tell you the answer, right?"
So she had to choose, didn't she?
"What is called non-interference?" Alice turned and looked at William, staring into his black eyes, "If there's anything that's beyond my bottom line, I shouldn't care, right?"
"What bottom line?"
William had already consumed half of the apple.
"For example, making someone sit on your thigh." Alice said with a serious tone.
Ever since the matter about Mona, Alice understood that the current William was far from being as clear of this as he was in the past. In the past, if he wanted her, he would only want her and no one else.
Hearing this, William seemed to have heard a joke, and said while looking at her, "That was just acting on the spot."
Was she jealous?
"So you think that's normal?" Alice asked, "Would you allow such a thing to happen to yourself?"
When she asked this question, it was a little aggressive.
"So you're saying that you will intervene in this matter. If I have a woman by my side at a certain ball, would you come and question me?"
"Shouldn't I? I can't be so magnanimous. " Alice said very honestly, "And I really want to take care of you, including your three meals a day. I will send them all to you after I finish making them."
He looked into her eyes and did not say anything for a long time. He raised his hand and threw the other half of the apple into the dustbin accurately.
William stood there with an indifferent expression.
After a while.
He opened his mouth, "Alice, perhaps you are right. After I recover from my sickness, I think you and I are really not that compatible."
Alice stood there and stared at him, not understanding what he meant.
"Tell me the answer the day before the press conference. You compromise, or I compromise." William said in a low voice as he lifted his legs and walked out of the ward.
Alice bit her lips, touched her long hair and sighed.
William's men failed catching Mr. Y, Mr. Y still went abroad. With regards to his true face, Alice still had no way of knowing.
William was trying to find out more about Mr. Y, but according to Daniel, he was hiding his identity very well.
On the day that Alice left the hospital, William did not come.
William never came to see her again. She had her bottom line, he had his, and every time they mentioned the matter of marriage, they would argue.
Time passed day by day.
Alice thought everyday about what she should do.
The gallery was only separated by a quiet road from the N.E. On the second floor of the N.E Tower, William was in a meeting.
The subordinates were making reports to while holding documents.
William had been sedentary for too long, he stood up from the chair, walked towards the huge window while listening, he was holding a pen and twirling it around.
He stood at the window and looked down. At the entrance of the gallery opposite to him, Alice was carrying a ladder.
She just recovered yet she held a heavy ladder.
Why did she always like to do so many unnecessary things?
Alice steadied the ladder and climbed up by herself. William stood straight and did not take in what his subordinate had said.
Alice climbed up the ladder as if she did not know what fear was.
Then, William saw Alice taking down the signboard of the gallery as she tore down the word "home".
What does that mean? She tore down the word "home"?
That was the sign that she had waited for him for four years.
If she dismantled it, it would mean that she wasn't going to wait anymore?
As expected, she would not compromise.
William had guessed it, and his face was gloomy. He had already guessed that she would not compromise, so he stopped taking the medicine early on.
However, she made the current him live like a joke, as if he was someone who completely didn't need to appear. He carried her expectations, but in the end he disappointed her.
"CEO, I'm done.'
