My Lord, My Billionaire Master novel Chapter 59

D—estiny?

This was called 'destiny'. Everyone had a witness, but only she didn't have one?

Alice retreated a few steps, and then asked dumbfoundedly, "So, I can't prove I am innocent?"

She clearly didn't do it.

Now, she was the only one who had the time. Was the god messing with her?

She backed away until she reached the wall, leaning against it in despair.

How could this be?

William stared at her, and suddenly shot his a glance.

"CEO Lincoln, Miss Rosanna, this way please." Daniel stepped forward and told Lincoln and the others to leave.

Lincoln still wanted to get closer to William, but was pulled out unyieldingly by Daniel, who had an ugly face the whole time.

In the huge reception room, only William and Alice were left.

"Alice, have you given up now?"

William put down the champagne, his voice was low.

Alice leaned on the wall, she slowly slid down and sat on the ground, she had no strength left in her, "Why didn't you tell me earlier? You clearly know that Rosanna is not going to become my witness, yet you don't say anything?"

"Because you're desperate for freedom."

William said coldly.

Alice remained silent.

"I have to give you some hope before you can stay by my side." William stood up from the sofa and walked over to her step by step. He looked down at her with a stern expression.

He had known from the moment she had sought death in his forest that he could not press her too hard.

Alice did not raise her head, she stared at his legs that were standing straight, and said hesitantly, "Since you know that I desire freedom, you should understand that I do not wish to be attached to you, then three years ago, even more so, I would not have drugged you, provoking a great figure like you."

He already knew her character, didn't he?

I do not wish to be attached to you.

I do not wish to be attached to you.

Her words echoed in his ears, and she told him again clearly that she did not want to cling to him.

William's face slowly turned green, and a dangerous and malicious light surfaced in his eyes. Abruptly, he sneered, "Heh, then maybe it's normal for a person's state of mind to have a change after three years. Even if you only want to distance yourself from me now, that year, you had indeed provoked me!"

"I didn't. If I wanted to lie to you, I will first come up with the terms with Rosanna so that she can help me!"

she repeated.

But as matters stood, Alice understood that it was useless for her to say anything now.

It was laughable that in order to let her stay by his side, William had allowed her to hold onto hope that wasn't really hope.

It turned out that she had no chance of winning against him.

"There's no point talking about it." William said coldly, he slowly squatted down in front of her as he blocked the light, and pressed his index finger between her eyebrows. He slowly slid down, and finally raised her chin.

She was forced to raise her face and meet his gaze.

"Alice, listen up. I don't care why you provoked me three years ago, but since you did, you must know now that it's not that easy to deal with!" William stared at her coldly. "Since it's like this, hand the child over."

He mentioned this again.

"No children." Alice said hesitantly, "Why do you refuse to believe me?"

Why not believe her.

She hadn't done anything, so why should she bear the blame?

William stared at her.

Alice met his gaze, there was not a shred of hope in her eyes, there was only despair.

"Why don't you believe me?" She asked again as tears blurred her vision and William's face became distorted in her eyes.

Her tears ran down her cheeks, falling on his fingers.

William lowered his eyes and looked at that speck of water. He suddenly felt heartbroken.

"Whatever, whatever." Alice laughed bitterly, pushed his hand away and stood up, then hopelessly left step by step, "I was too naive, how could I ask a paranoia like you to believe me, what do you think?"

Her hopes were gone.

What else could she do?

There's no way out.

She headed for the door, moving step by step. The next second, she was completely at a loss as to where she could go.

"I believe you."

a voice said suddenly behind her.

William was still half crouching in that position, his voice sounded in the quiet room even faster than his mind.

How could he not believe that all she had been doing was trying to distance herself from him? The polygraph chair, the hospital examination, the revisit to Baja, and getting evidence?

Hearing this, Alice turned around somewhat stiffly, and looked at him in a daze, "What did you say?"

He said he believed her?

Really?

William stood up from the ground and looked at her coldly. The light entered his eyes, but it was still not warm.

After a long time, she heard him say, "I asked a psychiatrist to analyze the reason why you denied the fact three years ago. There were three reasons."
