The secretary walked in and reported the itinerary to William.
William sat at the side and listened, he glanced at the time on his watch.
"CEO, do you have any arrangements? Should I postpone the meeting with CEO of Tex Corporation?"
"I don't have any arrangements later."
William raised his eyes and looked at the secretary coldly.
"Oh, I saw that you kept looking at the time and thought that there was something important later on." The secretary lowered her head and said, "Then CEO, I shall leave now."
William lowered his head to review the report. Suddenly, he raised her head and saw the his computer desktop with Alice's photo. She was holding a cup in her hand, and her ring finger was empty.
"Wait."
William spoke coldly.
"What else?" the secretary asked.
"Go and check out the blood diamond on the market. We want them to be of a pure quality. Also, the bigger the better." William said coldly.
"Blood diamond? Okay, I'll take a look."
The secretary nodded and left.
Britain, Cullen Family.
Alice laid on the bed to rest. Her entire body seemed to have fallen apart, her arms and legs were full of abrasions, and there were a few wounds on her face.
It was the wound from falling off the horse.
She curled up in her blanket and looked at the time on her phone. It should be 9 o'clock at night right now in the home country, she didn't know if William had stopped his work or not.
Her current appearance was not suitable for her to a video chat. The photo that was sent to William was taken yesterday.
Then, make a phone call.
Alice struggled to sit up, but a maid's voice came from outside, "Madam."
Elizabeth is here?
Alice turned and indeed, saw Elizabeth walking in. Looking at her, Elizabeth's face flashed with helplessness and she shook her head, "Back then, when I was learning to ride horses, I didn't fall at all."
Was Elizabeth here to see her?
Alice was a little flattered, "I was not careful, I won't do it again."
"I thought you were going to think I deliberately let people mess with you." Elizabeth said.
"So in Madame's eyes, I'm actually that stupid."
Whether it was intentional or not, she could still tell.
Elizabeth smiled, walked to her bed and lowered her eyes and stared at her, she extended her hand out to check the gauze on her face, and said, "Your injuries aren't serious."
"Thank you for your concern."
Alice said as she sat there.
Elizabeth looked at her, "I hope you understand, that since we accepted you as William's wife, we will no longer be as antagonistic towards you as we were in the past, and since you have married into my family, you must also understand that you will always be proud of William and the Cullen Family, and I will be the same."
Alice nodded, "I understand, Madam."
"Rest well. There is no need to rush to learn to ride a horse." Elizabeth nodded and turned to leave. She glanced at the pictures on the cabin and stopped, then picked up the Photo Frame.
It was a picture of William riding a horse when he was a teenager.
"You missed William's brother."
Hearing that, Elizabeth's eyes became moist, she looked back at her and smiled bitterly: "David is more sensible than William, his personality is gentle, and is willing to sacrifice everything for Cullen Family."
"I heard William mention that he's a very good person."
Alice said.
"Right." Elizabeth nodded, then looked at her and sighed emotionally, "It's all because of your face, I hope that your face isn't a curse of our Cullen Family."
David might have died on the way to see York, but now, William was going to marry Alice.
They had the same face.
"I don't want to talk about dead people." Alice said, "But as far as I know, as the eldest son of the Cullen Family, David carried a lot of pressure on him. That wasn't given to him by my brother."
These words were a fatal blow to Elizabeth. She stood there with a haggard expression on her face, "If I had known this would happen, I wouldn't have made him suffer so much before he died." "Forget it, what else can I do after he's dead?" Elizabeth said, then placed the Photo Frame back, turned and walked out.
Alice quietly sat on the bed and watched Elizabeth leave. It was yet another regret but it was too late.
She didn't want to be late.
Alice put away the blanket and got off the bed. Her shoulder was in extreme pain as she took her laptop. If Charles saw this, he would frown again.
Alice sat on the bed, opened her laptop and logged into her communication device.
Sure enough, William still did not reply her with anything.
Alice thought, and just as she was about to click on William's profile picture, an email popped up.
Alice opened it.
It was from Mr. Y.
[I heard you went to England. Everything is going well?]
It was a greeting email. He actually knew that she had come to England. This Mr. Y was quite capable.
She replied.
[Thank you for your concern. Everything is fine. How did you know I was in England?]
It was a chilling feeling to have someone in complete control of her whereabouts, but she felt no malice in Mr. Y.
A minute after her email was sent, Mr. Y replied.
[The aristocracy's rules are complicated and boring.]
Seeing his words, Alice opened her eyes wide in shock. Did this person know that she was in Cullen Family?
She typed on the keyboard and replied.
