"At that time, I 'borrowed' a corpse, setting the scene of an accident. The car was destroyed and everyone died and even the charred body couldn't be collected. I hide like this." David revealed his plan.
Alice walked in and was startled by these words.
Faking death.
She walked to the table and placed the coffee and milk on the table. William sat across from David and laughed coldly.
Alice quietly walked to the sofa and sat down, she then took out her phone and started playing with it while listening intently to their conversation. "Faking death, nice move."
David could hear the sarcasm in William's tone. "I know you hate me, sorry, William."
"No need to apologize, who am I? Am I worth your apology?"
William said coldly, he raised the coffee cup on the table and took a sip.
David ignored his harsh words, "I have really had enough in that family. As the eldest son of the Cullen Family, I am like the robot you developed, I can only listen to father's orders, what I should do today, what I should do tomorrow, whatever heights I should reach, they will decide it for me."
As Alice sat there playing with her mobile, she understood that the reason behind David's fake death was because he could not stand the Cullen Family.
"If I can't reach that level, I will be beaten and scolded, and even worse, I will be educated day and night. Have you ever tried the feeling of not being able to sleep for four days?" David laughed bitterly, "If I had the ability, I could do what father wants me to do. But I know very well, if I couldn't reach that height, it would be useless no matter how hard I was forced."
A person's talent was destined. He had already been forced to the extreme, but his father was still not satisfied.
His father had too much hope on him and wished that the fame of the Cullen Family could become the first in the history of Britain, but how could that be possible?
"So you threw these to me!"
William said coldly.
"I have no other way."
David said.
"A man who only knows to dodge is really useless!" William said sarcastically.
Hearing his words, David's face became ugly, but he did not rebuke him. He reached out to the milk cup in front of him, but before he could touch it, William took the milk cup away.
"This is my woman's milk, it's not for you!"
William held the cup and took a big gulp of milk.
Alice sat there in absolute silence. She did not make a sound and she even wanted to turn herself completely transparent.
"Coffee and milk. Aren't you afraid of a stomachache?" David stared at William and said. William glanced at him coldly, "There's no need for you to worry about me."
William was completely against him.
David lowered his eyes and nodded his head, he continued speaking, "I have planned for almost two years for that car accident, including how to conceal my identity."
Two years. Ah, two years. His good brother accompanied him every day as usual, taught him things. In the end, every day, all he thought about was how to disappear, how to throw away all the responsibilities he should bear to him.
"Heh."
William sneered, he raised the milk cup to his mouth and took a sip.
"After that, I was indeed reborn and lived a life of my own." David said as he looked at William and said each word clearly, "William, I'm not afraid to tell you. Even now, I have never regretted what I did before. But the only person I feel sorry for is you."
Once he left, William became the sole successor of the Cullen Family, all the responsibilities and future prospects of the Cullen Family lay on William's shoulders.
Hearing this, William smashed the cup in his hand fiercely onto the ground.
"Bam!"
The cup hit the floor and milk spilled.
William looked at David viciously, gritted his teeth and said, "I don't care about your apology!"
Alice sat on the sofa at the corner and looked at William's furious face. She did not step forward, but silently sat as a spectator.
David lowered his eyes and looked at the cup that was rolling on the ground, he closed his eyes and spoke in an exceptionally low voice, "William, what should I do for you to forgive me?"
"Sorry, never."
"It's not that I don't want to contact you, but I can't, especially when I know that you've been researching the N.E. system day and night and moved my favorite piano to China." David blamed himself, "I really didn't know that my death would affect you so much."
He never thought that after he "died", William would do so many things for him.
In his eyes, William had always been a rebellious little brother and was only slightly better to him than the others. Now that he had "died", William would be better off for a while.
He did not expect that William would treat himself as him, finish what he left behind and shoulder his responsibility. He even took responsibility for the accident with as he attempted to commit self-mutilation several times.
The so-called cowardice was nothing more than this.
The more William cared about him, the more he did not dare to tell the truth. He did not dare tell his brother that he lied to him.
"You don't know? Heh." William sneered and stood up from his seat, bent down with both hands pressed on the table and got closer. He was burned with fury as he stared at him, "That's right, you don't know, what do you know?"
A single sentence like "I didn't know" was enough to clear his name.
"William, I know that what I have done is too selfish. I sincerely want to apologize to you." Although this apology was made more than ten years late.
