A hand waved back and forth in front of Alice. Alice regained her senses and saw that William was staring at her with anger all over his face.
"Finished?" Alice smiled and stood up to clean up.
"Why cleaning up yourself? Are there no servants at home?" William slapped off her hand and glared at her: "Speak! What were you thinking about just now? Why didn't you even respond when I was talking to you?"
She dared to day-dream in front of him. This woman was truly rebellious.
"I was lost in thought. Maybe I didn't sleep well last night."
Alice said.
Hearing that, William frowned and carried her out, "Then let's go, let's go to sleep now!"
Five minutes later, Alice was lying on the bed with William's arms wrapped tightly around her.
Alice struggled in his embrace, but was held tightly by William, making her feel uncomfortable. She could not help but say:
"William, I have not taken a bath yet."
"It's fine, I don't mind your stinky smell."
"..."was speechless," I mind it, alright?"
"You can't." William tyrannically embraced her, he lowered his head and fiercely kissed her, "Didn't you not sleep well? Hurry up to sleep!"
"Oh."
Alice replied as she lay in his embrace and thought about what happened during the day. She thought about the shining coffin, thought about Elizabeth's tear- stained face and thought about what Charles had said.
She couldn't sleep no matter what.
"William." Alice asked, "Do you know your parents?"
"Aren't you sleeping? Why do you suddenly mention them?"
William asked in dissatisfaction.
"I just thought of it all of a sudden. Tell me about it." Alice said. William turned over and laid on the bed, raising his leg, he hugged her with one hand and said with a low voice, "Father is ruthless, he only focuses the fame of Cullen Family, my mother listens to him."
"That's it?"
Alice asked.
"What else could it be?" William hugged her and glanced at her, "What exactly do you want to say?"
Alice held his arm, thought for a while, then turned around. Lying on the bed, she looked at him and said, "Nothing much, I just suddenly thought that everyone has their own story, I really want to know about the love between your parents."
"It's just an arranged marriage, what love can there be?" William said coldly, "Alice, let me tell you this, our family is just like those boring aristocrats."
"You haven't asked, have you?" Alice said, "I actually think that Mother loves Father a lot."
"She's a traditional woman who respects her husband."
William said.
Alright, no wonder she misunderstood. Even William didn't feel that there was any sort of relationship between his parents. Although Charles hadn't said much to her, he seemed to have said a lot.
She had been thinking all night about how Elizabeth endured this period of time in this enormous castle.
It really wasn't easy.
"William, what do you think about the matter of inheriting the Cullen Family?" Alice asked as she rested her head on his arm.
"After a few decades, father will become old, and I won't be able to come up with anything new. N.E. can be passed to the next generation, then I'll inherit it." William said as he hugged her even more tightly.
It was exactly as she expected.
"If one let you inherit it now?"
Alice asked.
"Alice, why are you talking so much tonight?" William reached out to pinch her chin, "What, you're afraid that I'll inherit and make you stay here forever? Don't worry, Father won't be willing to let me inherit it now, and I won't let go of N. E. to deal with a bunch of people fighting over reputation."
"And if Father wants you to inherit it now?" Alice asked.
"No way!"
William gave a straightforward answer.
"Then if Father really wants you to inherit it now, for example, if he's sick, he can't take care of Cullen Family anymore." Alice continued to ask, looking at him.
"That's great. If he's sick, he won't bother me. He'll have to listen to everything I say. If I want to take over, I'll take over. If I don't care, I'll ignore it."
William said proudly.
Alice extended a hand and poked him, 'Tm serious with you, how can you talk about your own father like that?"
"He never treated me and my brother as his sons. He only treated us like future successors, crazily torturing us." William said, "A person like him will not get sick because he will not allow himself to get sick. It will affect the Cullen Family, and he is just such a pedantic person like this."
Alice looked at him, speechless.
Seeing Alice staring at him, William frowned, "Don't worry, he's in good health. The last time I gave him a gift, he was still standing in the study room, telling me to leave full of energy, don't disturb him!"
