It had been more than ten years, and the person here was not William. It was impossible to recognize David with a single movement, a single figure, and even a single voice.
The warm sunlight fell on the whole castle. There were many strange flowers and plants, and there was someone taking care of them. From afar, the sound of horses could be heard.
Alice turned to look at William, who was walking beside her, with a handsome face that was so cold that it would cause people to be afraid, staring straight ahead.
He did not take her hand.
Alice's heart sank. She wanted to say something, but in the end, she couldn't, and she could only silently lead them forward.
In front of Joseph Cullen's study, Charles was waiting there with the key in his hand. He had only received Alice's call that everything was possible, and thought that it must be Alice who persuaded him to do so.
Seeing them coming over, Charles did not recognize David, and only respectfully lowered his head, saying, "Second Young Master, no matter what, please consider it more for Madam."
Madam thought that William was innately rebellious and refused to properly manage the Cullen family even if he would know that his father was dead. With Alice's help, things should be much easier.
"Open the door."
William walked forward, his voice ice-cold like frost.
"Yes, Second Young Master." Charles glanced at Alice, then stepped forward and opened the door to the study, inviting them in.
David followed him in, and Charles immediately reached out to stop him. Alice looked at Charles, "Let him in."
"Young Madam, although I'm not against you telling this to Second Young Master." Charles frowned, "You should understand that there are not many people who are suited to know about this matter unless we come up with a solution that is absolutely correct."
Alice was actually letting others know about it.
It shouldn't be a bad thing.
"Let them in!"
William's voice carried an indescribable chill.
Charles looked at David with surprise, but he still could not recognize him. He only felt that it was strange, since it was not good for him to say anything when William said it, he could only regret and discuss it with Alice.
The less people knew about such secretive matters, the result the better. Once they failed, the Lady would be destroyed.
Charles walked inside and took down the books on the bookshelves, extended his hand and twisted, causing the bookshelves to slowly open up like a door in front of them.
A wave of ice-cold chilliness assaulted his senses.
William and David walked inside with large strides. William bumped into Alice's body, and when she looked up and saw William's gloomy face, he felt really bad.
William and David walked to the other side of the door. There were flowers all over the floor, and a few white candles were burning in front of the heavy cross relief sculptures.
The moment William walked over, he saw the specially crafted heavy coffin was glowing. His breathing became sluggish for a moment, his long legs became stiff and he walked over to the coffin.
He was dressed in a priceless suit, a coat, a stiff tie, and a watch on his wrist. The time on the watch had stopped, and he still had his wedding ring on his ring finger. His face was a mixture of blood and ice, and his eyes were closed and his face was white.
It was Joseph Cullen.
A father who had once severely criticized the two of them for faking his death, a father who had gone away, had truly passed away.
The room was cold and oppressive, and not a sound could be heard. Only the flickering light of the white candle could be seen.
Alice stood by the side of the door;her clear black and white eyes looked towards William; his lips pursed tightly, and her hands by his side tightened.
William stood there and lowered his eyes to look at Joseph Cullen who was lying inside the ice coffin.
"Bam."
David suddenly knelt in front of the coffm,;both of his knees emitted a deep sound, and his hands folded on the coffin, and his head leaned on the coffin.
Charles looked at David in shock. Why did he have to kneel?
William stood there, his gaze sweeping past the coffin, reaching out his hand and pressing a button. The glass coffin's lid automatically moved backwards, and he bent down to look at the watch on Joseph Cullen's hand, "Is this the time my father passed away?"
The time on the watch had stopped.
"Yes." Charles nodded, "It was Madam who stopped pressing the watch."
William lowered his eyes and looked at the time. This time, it was a long, ancient style and there was even time of the year on it. He looked at the time and suddenly laughed sarcastically as he closed the coffin.
Gradually, Alice saw his eyes red.
In the next second, he glared at Charles and walked over to grab his collar as he roared hysterically, "Four years! My father's been dead four years before she told me? Who gave you the guts!"
The fire in William's body was ignited;his eyes stared straight at him,and he wanted to tear Charles apart.
No one could stand such a concealment.
