- She was the person he was looking for
Daniel finally turned his head back.
Standing there, he turned his head to look at the altar. On the altar was a giant crystal.
Inside the crystal sat a woman, a beautiful woman.
She was beautifully dressed with her face half covered by a veil, her eyes were closed and her face was pale.
It was her.
She was the new Heavenly Girl.
"Bam."
The blade in Daniel's hand dropped to the ground, he could only stare blankly at the person inside the crystal, "No!"
Daniel crazily roared and rushed towards the altar.
"Daniel!"
William roared in anger. He could no longer stop Daniel.
Alice looked at Daniel's figure in shock. Without thinking too much, she subconsciously went closer to William. Eclar pounced towards Alice and shouted: "Get that woman!"
Eclar could see how important this woman was to William.
With that said, countless sharp weapons were shot towards Alice.
"Don't act recklessly!"
Alice immediately retreated backwards, before Eclar's hand could touch her, William had already started panicking as he released the grip on Borglor and rushed to kick Eclar.
William's actions were done without hesitation and it was the most wrong decision.
Without Borglor, they didn't have the bargain chip.
Very quickly, the guards had already pointed their weapons at them, encircling them. Each of the guards glared at them fiercely, and when Borglor found his breath, he immediately covered his neck and shouted exasperatedly, "Tie them up! Tie them up!"
Everything happened too quickly.
William glared at Daniel coldly. Daniel completely ignored what was happening around him. He charged towards the altar like a mad beast and the moment his hands touched the altar, a guard stabbed his shoulder with a spear.
"Foster father!"
Alice shouted.
Daniel clenched his teeth and climbed onto the altar, completely ignoring the blood.
Alice worriedly looked at Daniel and a dozen of guards rushed up. Daniel who was injured, was forcefully pulled off the altar, and at the moment he fell to the ground, he reached out his hand towards the crystal.
Daniel feel heavily to the ground. At that instant, Alice felt his despair.
Finally, the ceremony was interrupted. William, Alice and the rest were tied up and thrown into an ice-cold prison.
William sat against the wall. The floor was extremely cold and there was even a layer of dust on it.
Daniel laid motionlessly on the ground. It was hard to tell what he was thinking.
Sue sat alone in a corner, sobbing.
In the prison, Alice looked at William and muttered his name. "William."
Hearing her voice, William's expression relaxed slightly, "Are you alright? Does the rope hurt you?"
"Nope." Alice shook her head. Looking at his face, she said with a little guilt, "Sorry, I can't help you at all, I'll only become your weakness at the most crucial moment. If only I can defend myself, you don't have to worry about me."
She was his weakness.
He was her armor.
"It has nothing to do with you!" William said. There was no need for him to criticize her for this, "Why do you need to learn self-defence, your hands are not for learning it!"
Her hands could be used to draw and cook, but she didn't need to learn martial arts.
Alice sat there silently. Her hands were tightly tied up. It was too late to say anything now.
When she was at a loss, she would ask William what to do, but when she saw William frowning, she suddenly could not bring herself to ask.
Alice moved closer to him.
William lowered his head to look at her, and she looked at Daniel. Daniel laid there with blood continuously flowing from his shoulder. She asked, "Father, are you alright?"
Daniel did not make a sound.
