Peter and Mary arrived home in Galea after their long journey. Mary was still fragile, so Peter had instructed the staff to provide her with all the help she might need. Agnes, ever attentive, had prepared a delicious meal, knowing the expectant mother needel nourishment. She felt it was her duty to take extra care of the future Mrs. Palmer and her baby.
“Sir, ma’am… I’m so sorry for what you’ve been through. Take your time settling back in. I’ll bring dinner to your room shortly. Ma’am, please avold any effort, and if you need anything at all, just let us know–we’ll do our best to assist you.
“Thank you, Agnes… really, thank you so much for your kindness,” Mary said, her voice trembling as her eyes filled with tears. She held the urn containing her grandfather’s ashes tightly in her hands.

“Peter… how are you? I saw the news.”
“It’s been a rough weekend. Mary is inconsolable, but I’m hoping she’ll calm down with time, without needing hospitalization again.”
“Peter, she needs you now more than ever.”
“I know. Everything that happened this weekend was so unexpected. I can’t understand how they found out about Albert. My grandmother is always so careful!”
“Peter… there’s something I need to tell you,” Marcus said, his tone serious.

“Marcus, that’s serious. But remember, I’m well protected here, thanks to you and your arrangements. Nothing will happen to me.”
“I know, but it doesn’t hurt to be extra cautious. I’m going to reinforce the security measures around
