“What the hell are you doing here?” Frank snapped, his voice a mix of anger and fear. 

“I came to visit you, dear friend,” Marcus said coolly, tossing a towel at him. “Cover yourself up, will you?” 

“You managed to get past my security…” Frank muttered, slently praying someone would walk in. 

“Well, here I am! Guess so!” Frank snapped back. 

“I never forget you!” Frank said, raising his hand to show the finger he was missing. 

“And I I 

er forget you either.” Marcus replied with a sarcastic tone. “I just came to pay you a courtesy v want you to know you’re not alone, my dear friend I’ll always be around.” 

“You’re a damned son of a bitch!” Frank spat. “I know, I know. You’ve been hunting down everyone who had a hand in killing your family, but I wasn’t part of that-” he added, as if it were a casual conversation. 

Marcus didn’t like the attitude. He stood and approached Frank, who was already feeling the intimidation. radiating from Marcus’s towering figure. Compared to Frank, Marcus’s height and presence made him tremble inside. 

‘My dear friend, what makes you think I’m not here for you today?” Marcus said, leaning in and wrapping one atin around Fratik in a mock embrace. 

“If you were here for me, I’d already be dead.” 

“But where’s the fun in that? If I did that, I’d get bored. How would I keep playing with you if you were dead? We both know this is a game of cat and mouse, and in this case, I’m the cat. It’s my job to hunt you, little mouse.” 

“Bartz, just kill me already! If that’s what you want, do it! Im tired of you being in my head all the time!” Frank shouted, fully aware of the consequences. 

Marcus leaned down, forcing Frank to sit on the cold wooden bench of the sauna. Gripping Frank’s chin, he brought their faces close. Marcus placed his pistol on the wooden bench beside them. Then, the sound of a blade clicking open broke the tense silence. Slowly, Marcus began pressing the tip of the knife along the edge of Frank’s scalp. Blood started to trickle down, staining Frank’s face in red. Frank almost screamed, but Marcus gagged him with a cloth. Soon, the drug on the cloth made Frank lose consciousness. 

With Frank out cold, Marcus continued his grisly work. He took what he had come for, wrapped it carefully in a bag, and left Frank bleeding out on the sauna floor. 

In that moment, Marcus made it clear: no place, no security detail, could protect Frank from him. Wherever Frank went, Marcus would follow. Frank didn’t know when or where, but one thing was certain–Marcus would never let him rest. 

A few days later, Frank found himself in a hospital bed. A narse handed him a mirror, and with shaky hands, he raised it to examine his face. A jagged wound ran along the edge of his scalp, and one of his ears was gone. The sight filled him with terror. Marcus had won this round yet again. 

As he stared at his disfigured reflection, his phone began to ring. Frank hesitated, almost ignoring it, but the nurse kindly urged him to answer. “It must be important,” she said.
