He had been staying at a five–star hotel near the bar where Alexia was headed. Unable to sleep, he’d decided to take a walk and have a drink. To his surprise, he stumbled upon Alexia–a coincidence, or perhaps, destiny.
“I’m doing well. I was just out for a drink. And you?” Leonardo asked, his tone relaxed.
“Same here. I’ve been busy and really needed a night out,” Alexia replied naturally.
I
“If you’re not meeting anyone, would you care to join me? don’t plan to stay long–just one drink,” Leonardo said, resuming his walk toward the bar.
“I don’t have any plans. Sharing a table sounds perfect–especially since the place is likely packed,” Alexia said, her enthusiasm genuine.
As they walked side by side toward the bar, neither could have anticipated the ripple effects their chance encounter would set in motion.
For a man like Leonardo, the word “no” simply didn’t exist. Despite the long line of people waiting to get into the bar, he confidently placed his arm around Alexia and strode to the entrance. After exchanging a few words with. the bouncer, the man nodded respectfully and opened the door, allowing them to enter without a hitch.
During her relationship with Gabriel, Alexia had learned to appreciate different types of alcohol. So, when Leonardo ordered a bourbon, she did the same, eager to match his choice. What began as one drink quickly turned into six over the span of three hours. The conversation flowed easily between them. Leonardo found himself genuinely enjoying Alexia’s company, and he couldn’t help but notice that the woman before him was not only beautiful but also captivating.
After six drinks, it was time for them to part ways. However, as they left the bar, it was clear that Alexia was slightly tipsy, Concerned, Leonardo insisted on walking her back to her apartment to ensure she got home safely.
When they reached her door, Leonardo was prepared to leave, but Alexia’s warm hand touched his, stopping him in his tracks. He turned to look at her, and her gaze spoke volumes–it was an invitation.
For a moment, Leonardo hesitated. But whether it was the alcohol lowering his inhibitions or the years of loneliness without intimate contact, he gave in to the temptation. The allure of Alexia’s youthful, exquisite presence was irresistible.
Inside the apartment, restraint gave way to passion. Leonardo undressed her gently, savoring each moment. Alexia, in turn, was taken aback by his approach. With Gabriel, intimacy had become routine, mechanical, and devoid of excitement. But this man was different–he seemed intent on exploring and relishing every inch of her. For a few hours, they forgot about their shared connection to Maximus Palmer. In that moment, there were no ties, no obligations–just the two of them.
Leonardo lost himself in Alexia’s pale, perfectly proportioned figure until nearly dawn. The alcohol had freed them from hesitation, but as the first rays of sunlight streamed into the room, reality began to creep back in.
“Alexia,” Leonardo said, breaking the silence as he began to dress hurriedly, “Tknow you were or are–with my son. I want you to know I won’t stand in your way if you decide to continue with him. If you return to Valentia, pretend this never happened. I believe you’re the right woman for Maximus. If you reunite with him, I’ll never speak of this, and I trust you’ll do the same.”
Alexia sat there, still reeling from the events of the night. How could she face Maximus now? Did this man even hear himself? She couldn’t believe the situation she’d found herself in.
Without any other option, she replied, “Don’t worry. I’ll never mention a word of this.”
