“Director, tell me one thing–where was Celeste taken? Where can I find her? Does she not have any family? Did anyone accompany her?” 

“Mr. Palmer, Miss Celeste was taken to the Westhaven Private Clinic, where she’ll be treated. It’s a good hospital, trust me, she didn’t suffer any serious injuries. It was just a scare, you’ll see.” 

“Director, why do I feel like you’re not telling me the truth? I’m going to find Celeste. Alden, you take Ethan home and make sure everything here gets sorted out. Otherwise, I personally take care of closing this place down.” 

Upon hearing Peter’s words, the director knew this incident was going to turn into a monumental Issue. Without thinking twice, she said, “Mr. Palmer, Miss Johnson risked her life trying to help young Jonathan Bartz and Ethan Palmer down from the stage. In any case, I know it was an accident, but you have to understand, the children were there without supervision. This was a terrible accident, and we’re not blaming anyone.” 

“Dad, go to the hospital. I’ll take care of this issue. I promise I’ll investigate what happened and we’ll get to the bottom of it. Just like you said, Miss Johnson has no family, and right now, she must need you. Go, I’ll take Ethan home.” 

With those words from Alden to his father, the man stood up and ran toward his car. On one hand, he was worried about Celeste, but on the other, he knew that if he stayed there, it would be inevitable to run into Mary, and now wasn’t the right time to talk. Seeing her reaction, he knew she was in an advanced stage of pregnancy, and such a strong shock could trigger a premature labor. 

Meanwhile, in the director’s office, Marcus Bartz was helping his wife wake up. She looked into his eyes and knew something wasn’t right. “Marcus, where is Ethan’s father? I want to see him! Where is he?” 

“My love, calm down! Try to relax, you fainted a moment ago. Your exhaustion caused it. I told you to stay home. could have gone to pick up John. Camille, Serenity, or I could have done it. You shouldn’t have gotten out of bed.” “Marcus, I asked you a question. Why aren’t you answering me? Where is Ethan’s father?” 

“My love, he’s in the prefect’s office. There were too many people here, and they wanted to give you some space to recover.” 

“I want to meet him!” Valerie said, standing up. 

Valerie quickly headed toward the mentioned office. She opened the door without knocking and saw a familiar face. He was a young man, but he didn’t resemble the image and voice she had heard just moments ago. It couldn’t be him, she thought. 

“Mrs. Bartz, you’re awake at last. I suppose your fatigue caused the fainting. I’m glad both families are here. Now, we can discuss everything together without having to repeat ourselves.” 

The director explained and showed videos of what had happened. Essentially, the art teacher had saved the lives of both children, though it had caused her very serious injuries. In front of Peter, they hadn’t wanted to acknowledge it, but one of her bones had pierced the skip and was exposed by the time she was taken to the hospital. The paramedics had concluded that it was her femur that had broken.
