She felt a slight sting in her intimate spot, and for a brief moment, she hesitated and stopped him. But after a pause, they continued. For Serenity, this was her first time a moment of discovery. For Alden, it was a night he would never forget. 

Instinctively, Serenity reached for his hands, intertwining her fingers with his. As soon as she felt him entering her, she gripped his hands tightly, letting out a soft moan that he silenced with a kiss. She could feel how gentle he was, moving slowly, ensuring he wouldn’t hurt her. 

She, on her side, felt a whirlwind of emotions–a mix of joy, pleasure, and nostalgia. Tears began to well up in her eyes. He noticed and stopped, thinking he might have hurt her, but she simply said: 

“I love you…! I love you, Alden!” 

“I love you too, Serenity! No matter what the future holds, want you to know that I love you,” Alden replied, leaning in to kiss her deeply. 

Moments later, Alden held her close, his lips brushing softly against her bare skin. Serenity felt a strange blend of emotions–a joy that made her smile and a nostalgia that brought tears to her eyes. 

“Are you okay?” Alden asked as he gently turned Serenity’s body toward him. 

“Yes…” Serenity replied with a smile, though she wiped away the tears still lingering on her cheeks. 

“Tell me if I hurt you, or why you’re crying. I don’t like seeing you like this… It shouldn’t be this way.” 

“No, you didn’t hurt me. You’ve made me so happy. I am so happy right now; it’s just that I got a little nostalgic and worried.” 

“Worried? About what?” 

“I love you, Alden! This has been the best thing to happen to me in months, but I’m scared… What’s going to happen when we go back to Valentia?” 

“Ah, is that what’s on your mind?” 

Serenity nodded, and her eyes welled up with tears again. 

“I don’t want to be apart from you. I feel so comfortable with you. I want to keep living this, I want this in my life… I want you by my side. I don’t want to be alone anymore.” 

“Why worry about something that hasn’t even happened yet?” 

“I’m happy here, and I don’t want to lose this.” 

“Come here…” Alden said, pulling her into his arms. 

“I’m going to ask you the same question I asked you a month ago. What do you want from all of this? I know what 

I want, and I know what I need to do. But what do you want?” 

Serenity gazed at him intently, trying to grasp what he meant, though no clear answer came to her. 

“I want to be with you! I want something more with you!! 

“Good… If that’s what you want, then let’s make it happen You and I can be together–there’s no one here 

stopping us. When the time comes to face our fears, I promise you, we’ll face them together. It won’t just be you, and it won’t just be me–it’ll be us. Do you agree?” 

“Yes…”
