Chapter 0007 

Mary got up from the bed and hurried out, thinking that maybe she could still find her grandfather. Unfortunately, he had left the mansion several hours ago. 

“Mary, my dear, where are you going?” Catherine asked 

“I’m looking for my grandfather!” 

“Sweetheart, your grandfather left last night. He only stayed for dinner and had to leave.” 

Catherine’s heart ached when she saw the change in the girl’s expression. Mary was still wearing the school uniform she had arrived in, looking like a little girl who had just been taken to kindergarten and didn’t want to be separated from her father. 

“My dear, come on, we need to have breakfast, and then we’ll go into town to buy some things for you.” 

“I’m not very hungry.” 

“Come on, dear. I’m not going to let you 

back?”
