“Then let’s keep it that way…” 

After several minutes on the phone, Alden and Maximus finalized their plan. It was a strategy designed to catch Frank off guard. They deliberately chose not to inform Marcus, allowing him to unleash his fury on Frank’s associates. This would serve as a diversion but also posed a potential risk to Lucius. 

[Mumbai, India] 

“Didy 

I you speak with the boss?” asked a menacing–looking man. 

“Yes, he said we’ll move them by car, discreetly. It’ll take a few days since we’ll transport them one by one. He wants them sold in Bangkok through one of his contacts. If we hand them over from here, Palmer or Bartz could track them down.” 

“So, we’re staying here for the night?” 

“Yes. Tell the men to stay alert. We don’t know where eyes and ears might be watching.” 

“Should we feed them?” 

“The kids?” 

“Yeah.”

“No. Let them weaken. They’ve only been a few hours without food; they’ll survive. Just give them water.” 

“Got it. Boss, are you eating something?” 

“Yeah. Tell the woman around here to serve us some food. After dinner, I’ll rest–we’ve got a long few days altead.” 

“Understood.“. 

When Alden and his team arrived, the house looked ordinary, but it was clearly surrounded by armed men keeping watch. Quietly, they divided up and took their positions, disabling the cars and systematically taking down the guards one by one. Alden had one thought in his mind: get out alive with the three kids. 

Once inside, the team spread out, searching the house for the children. Alden moved down a hallway leading to a large dining room, where the leader of the group sat, calmly eating. He was a tall, broad–shouldered man who looked Middle Eastern or Egyptian. 

The man’s weapon lay beside him on the table. Alden aimed at his chest and stepped inside. The leader reached for his gun, but Alden fired a shot near it, sending the weapon tumbling to the floor. The man stood and tried to pull another gun from behind his back, but Alden was faster, shooting him in the right arm and then in the side. 

“Where the hell are my kids, you bastard?” Alden demanded. 

“Who are you?” 

“Answer me. 

“They’re already far from here. Do you think I’d be this calm if they were still here?” 

“You’re lying. But it doesn’t matter–you’re finished. My team is already searching for them. Do you really think you’re in any position to lie to me?”

“What are you talking about?” 

“I shot you. You screamed. Did anyone come to help you?” 

The man fell silent, realizing Alden was right–none of his men had come to his aid. 

“Who the hell are you?” 

Alden approached slowly, his gun still aimed. The man clutched his bleeding side, his expression one of growing fear. 

“Your worst nightmare,” Alden said, before plunging a knife into the man’s stomach. 

The leader let out a high–pitched scream of pain.
