Chapter 0103
Who knew what Sonia’s pity meant?
After Candice wiped the blood off her hands, she looked up at them. She glanced at the cotton swab that
Sonia was holding on her hand, and asked in an emotionless voice, “If you have an allergic reaction, it’s better
to rest well.”
Sonia laughed dryly. “Candice. I’m caring about you.”
“Well, thank you.” Candice nodded. “I’m fine.”
Candice was simply stopping Sonia from speaking further.
Sonia noticed Candice’s rejection. She gritted her teeth and said, “But Candice, you are already in the hospital
with an IV drip. No matter what, your mother should come and take care of you, right?”
She pointed to the pinprick on her hand. “I feel uncomfortable even when Lex is with me. It’s definitely
inconvenient for you to be here alone.”
Candice’s eyelashes twitched slightly. “My friend is here.”
Sonia was a little surprised. “Do you have friends in here in Noxville?”
“Yeah.” Candice nodded and said no more.
It was ridiculous enough. In order not to be pitied in front of Sonia, she made up that she had friends.
Candice took a breath and was about to leave.
However, Sonia stopped her with a bright smile on her face. “Candice, why don’t you invite your friends to have
a meal together?”
She d
did not believe that Candice could have any friends here, and she knew in her heart that this was just an
excuse Candice gave to put up a front.
Sonia sneered at her behavior.
She deliberately pulled the corner of Alex’s clothes, looked up at him, and asked, “Lex, is that alright?”
The sleeves of Alex’s shirt were rolled up to his elbows, revealing his beautiful arm lines.
He was carrying a medicine bag, which probably contained Sonia’s medication.
He raised his eyelids, looked at Candice with his dark eyes, and said casually, “Okay.”
Sonia laughed and said, “Candice, why don’t you set a time?”
Candice frowned. She was disgusted with Sonia’s self–assertion.
Just when she was about to refuse, Alex said with a faint smile, “I would really like to meet your friends.”
What Candice was about to say halted on her lips. What left her lips were, “He has been very busy recently.”

“He doesn’t even have time to eat?” Sonia was quite unbelieving. She looked at Candice without blinking, for
fear of missing any expression on her face.
She wished that Candice would make a fool of herself right now so that she could watch the fun.
The more Sonia looked at Candice, the more she disliked her. Especially after meeting Alex and Candice together in the hospital this morning.
