Yuna didn’t notice, but she met Alex's dark and deep gaze.

Candice pursed her lips and walked away. When Yuna and Alex were talking, there was a very familiar and intimate feeling. Even Sonia had never received such a tone.

Candice felt she understood Alex. He was just heartless. That was why he had indulged and pampered Sonia so much in the past, then got engaged to Nina, and now allowed Yuna to act coquettish.

Then she received a message from Kayla, who was there to gossip, asking if she was in South City.

Candice confirmed, and Kayla replied instantly. "No wonder. I knew something was up when Yuna came asking me for your WhatsApp ID. But if she hadn't come to me, I would have forgotten. I wanted to tell you earlier, Sonia got married."

Kayla said Sonia got married around the New Year, to a divorced crippled man in his forties.

It was said that from blind date to marriage, it had taken less than half a month. The man was known for his alcoholism. His previous wife had divorced him because of his drinking, and he had no job, relying on his mother's tailoring shop to earn money to support the family.

An employee from Aether lived nearby and had seen Sonia being scolded by her mother-in-law when she went to the tailor shop to pick up clothes, and had felt sorry for her.

Yana mentioned that Hanley's birthday was soon and Candice could use it as an opportunity to give him a surprise.

Candice thought about it for a long time and she was constantly being brainwashed by Yana and Nadia in turns. So, she ended up deciding to take the effort to prepare a surprise for Hanley.

She thought about it and even if she was not confessing her feelings, it could be considered an effort made for a friend.
