My Pretty Sweetheart (Arianna) novel Chapter 345

Josiah drove away, and I went back to the hall. When I arrived, I found Hendrix sitting in there reading a book.

Seeing me come in, he looked up but didn't say anything.

I hesitated for a moment and went to make him a cup of tea. Then, I sat down beside him and put a cup of tea in front of him. "Have some black tea to ease digestion."

He looked up at me, put down the book in his hand, and pulled me into his arms.

A pair of black eyes stared at me. "When are you going to talk to me?"

I was stunned and said calmly, "Some people say that men are the easiest to talk to when they are in bed."

He raised his eyebrows. "So, are you going to tell after lying in bed for a while?"

I nodded. "If you can agree now, then I'll talk to you right away."

"Ha!" He pressed his hand on my forehead and sneered. "What do you want Fantasia Company for?"

"I can't be a housewife. I think it's a pretty good idea to be a strong woman," I said seriously while my eyes fell on his Adam's apple and the buttons of his white shirt.

He lowered his head, lifted my chin, and rubbed the corner of my mouth with his lips gently. There was a faint smile in his voice, but it couldn't be seen. "Do you think Aaron and I would delay things for a year if it was so easy to acquire Fantasia Company?"

"I know. That's why I'm requesting you to give up the acquisition of Fantasia Company. If you and Aaron give up, it will be easier for Granger Group to negotiate."

He squinted at me and said calmly, "Arianna, should I be glad that I have such a smart wife who knows how to make money?"

Knowing that he wasn't saying this out of good intentions, I nodded. "Husband and wife working together are much easier than fighting alone."

"Ha!" He sneered. "You are quite self-righteous."

I pursed my lips and did not follow his flow of conversation. Instead, I asked, "Do we have a deal?"

He looked down at me, and his eyes were a little cold. "Didn't you say we will talk about it in bed?"

I...

"Haha!"
