My Pretty Sweetheart (Arianna) novel Chapter 442

I was surprised at how in- sync these men were and couldn't help laughing. Then, I handed the prescription to Hendrix and said, "The doctor said to drink more warm water."

"What?" Aaron was puzzled. "Dr. Dormer really said that?"

I nodded. Tilting my head, I looked at him and said, "He said I'm not sick. So, you guys won't keep making me see a doctor, right?"

Aaron frowned. "Who..." As he spoke, Hendrix glanced at him with a dark look on his face, effectively cutting Aaron off. He then looked at me and said, "Uncle Charles invited you to come with me to visit the Reid family next week. We'll have a meal together and get to know the Reid family."

I was stunned to hear this, but after thinking for a while, I ended up nodding, and yawned. Then, I looked at Aaron and said, "I didn't sleep well last night. I'm heading home first!"

He was about to say something, but when he saw that I was sleepy, he stopped and nodded, "Go home and rest early then."

He glared at Hendrix and said sarcastically, "Aren't you tired, Mr. Roberts?"

Hendrix curled his lips, "My body has always been strong!"

In a fit of anger, Aaron left.

As soon as he did, Hendrix narrowed his eyes slightly as he looked at me and said, "What about the prescription?"

I pursed my lips, held the prescription tightly in my hand, and said nonchalantly, "There's no prescription, the doctor just said to drink more warm water."

"Arianna!" He said, his voice slightly raised.

I was annoyed, so I didn't say anything more to him. I walked straight out of the hospital and got in the car.

He followed after me, but he was not in a hurry. Instead, he looked at me and said, "I'll treat you to dinner at the Nandoes Restaurant. Would you like to?"

I subconsciously wanted to refuse, but after a pause, I looked at him and said, "What are you treating me for?"

He started the car, "Because of what we talked about on the phone the other day."
