I walked over to their table. Dahlia, who was still weeping, finally saw me. Her eyes widened for a moment. Her jaw dropped but she was dumbstruck.
Hendrix's gaze fell on me, looking at me with a heart-wrenching look in his eyes.
From the looks of it, he had probably believed Dahlia to some extent. Dahlia probably thought that Hendrix would come to dislike me because of my insolence, which was why she had crafted such a story.
As for why she had deliberately said that Sebastian took good care of me, she probably wanted Hendrix to think that I was a promiscuous woman who could fall in love with anyone.
To be honest, I wanted to thank her for deliberately trying to smear me. I would have no more reasons to push Hendrix away otherwise.
"Dahlia, it's impossible for a good man to fall in love with you, much less an ordinary man. You are neither physically attractive, talented, nor kind-hearted. Basically, you don't have any characteristics that would attract a man. To be honest, if a woman like Naomi or a woman like
Tina were here, I would willingly and generously give Hendrix up. But you really don't deserve him!"
"You..."
She was so angry that she couldn't say a word.
I looked at Hendrix with a faint smile and said, "Hendrix, everything she said just now, is to tell you that I don't deserve you. Whatever deeper meaning it has, I'm sure you understand better than me. This woman is foul inside and outside, and she is just scheming to get close to you₀"
I pursed my lips and didn't know what to say for a while. I was really trying my best to push him away.
"What?" Naomi had me followed out, asking in confusion, "What are you two arguing about now? You're Hendrix, right?”
Naomi was only a bit over five feet tall, and Hendrix, standing at more than six feet, towered over her. She looked up at him and said, "Mr. Roberts, you manage billions of assets daily. Why can't you be a little rational in your private affairs? Do you believe what that foul woman said to you? If you have brains, you'll ask for the truth. You started to ask Arianna all these things without clarifying anything. Do you think that makes any sense?"
Naomi's sudden appearance stunned Hendrix and me for a moment. Hendrix frowned slightly and looked at her. "What do you mean?"
"Oh my god!" Naomi was a little angry. She pulled me away and said, "Let's go. Clearly, he is brainless! You'd better not waste your time on him."
