Emyr’s gaze locked onto her deeply. Imitating her lip movement, he smirked shamelessly, “There are so many cats here, but you only reward me once?”

This guy is something. That’s a failed counterattack. 

The next morning, there were no scheduled appointments, but Charmaine woke up early. She was planning to set up a few cat beds for the big cats in the garden. 

However, as soon as she stepped downstairs, she saw Alfred calling over about ten gardeners. It looked like they were about to begin some major construction work. 

“Ms. Nelson.” 

Seeing Charmaine in a good mood, Alfred felt a deep sense of relief. 

Charmaine looked puzzled at the gardeners walking out. She asked, “What’s going on?” 

“Oh, over by the alligator pond, there’s a protective net. Since the cats are skilled climbers, they might accidentally end up inside. To keep the cats safe, I’ve asked the workers to quickly dismantle the net and replace it with metal bars. That way, there won’t be any danger.” Alfred explained with a warm smile. 

Charmaine’s heart warmed, and she sincerely said, “Thank you.” 

Alfred was taken aback by her gratitude. “Oh, Ms. Nelson, you’re too kind. This is just something I should 

done! 

“Since you arrived, the estate has become much livelier. It really feels like a home now.” 

Charmaine’s eyes glistened with delight as she thought about the words Freya had said the night before. She instinctively asked, “Don’t you mind what Freya said last night?” 

Alfred responded with calmness and conviction, “To truly understand someone, it’s not enough to only hear what others say about them. What matters is what the person has done.” 

He sighed deeply. “It’s not just about appearances or intentions. It’s your arrival that saves Mr. Emyr.” 

Upon hearing this, Charmaine seemed to understand something. She smiled faintly. “Alright.” 

After breakfast, Charmaine joined in with the work. 

She discovered that several of the big cats were excellent climbers. She even arranged a few spots on the trees for them to play and explore. 

This vast estate was like a natural playground for the cats, giving them the freedom to explore and adventure as they wished.

Olympia had gone to great lengths, calling in favors, to get Leah and Zayn on this show. 

Now, thanks to Freya, the entire show’s reputation was ruined. There was an outpouring of criticism online. The Whites had pulled their investment, the program had been halted for a thorough investigation, and no one knew when it would resume filming. 

Leah took a small bite of her grits and spoke gently to Olympia. “At least the issue was discovered before the show aired. If it had happened afterward, the damage would have been much worse.”, 

It was the only consolation she could offer herself. 

Olympia nodded, suddenly remembering something. “By the way, take this opportunity to get closer to Dr. Robin and build a good relationship with her.”
