Chapter 20
Elizabeth only thought about the prize. How could the school offer something valuable?
Steven dialed the number on the note. It was noisy on Elizabeth’s side. “Have you got the prize?”
“Where are you?”
Elizabeth sucked pasta into her mouth, and her stomach became warm. “I am having pasta nearby. Steven, you owe
me a large dish of pasta.”
Elizabeth was so hungry.
Steven was speechless.
“I’ll give you the prize another day. Tell me where you are.”
“What do you come to me for without the prize?” Elizabeth thought Steven wanted to quarrel with her.
“Steven, tell me you’re not gonna deny it. You have promised the prize belongs to me.”
Steven twitched his mouth.
Was that Elizabeth?
Steven was a member of the York family. How could he embezzle the prize?
Elizabeth tucked into pasta, and the noise made Steven shake his head.
Elizabeth grew up in the York family. How could she change that way after four years of living alone?
Beep, beep..
Elizabeth hung up Steven’s call.
How dare she do that? Steven just wanted to thank her.
Replete, Elizabeth bought a pair of sunglasses. She was used to covering up her face.
Since she did that with Samuel four years before. Her appearance changed greatly. After she gave birth to Benson, her skin was as tender as an eighteen–year–old girl’s.
Elizabeth couldn’t figure out the reason for that. Others grew old and haggard after giving birth to children.
How could it be different for her?
After returning to Los Angeles, Elizabeth had not found a house to live in. To save money, she temporarily lived in a hotel near the school.

Chapter 20
When she studied abroad in the past four years, she didn’t spend a penny of the Yorks or tell the York family her exact location. She only contacted Tomas secretly a few times. After giving birth to Benson, she didn’t want to have too much to do with the Yorks except for Tomas
Since Elizabeth was back, she wanted to develop in Los Angeles. After all, she grew up there and had feelings for the
city.
The most important reason
wns that Benson wanted to be back.
Remembering Benson, Elizabeth called him at a concealed place.
“Elizabeth, I have been waiting for you, Benson complained. “Why can’t you always remember your handsome and
talented son?”
Elizabeth rolled her eyes. “What am I doing now? Why am I calling you at night if I don’t remember you?”
“You remember me but only occasionally.”
Elizabeth was speechless,
How could Benson be so clever?
“Okay, Ben, don’t be angry. Let’s have a drink when I am home.”
“You are no match for me. I won’t be drunk.”
Elizabeth smacked her lips. “Benson, are you serious?”
However, Benson hung up the phone.
Flizabeth shrugged and went to a nearby pharmacy to buy anti–inflammatory drugs before returning to the hotel.
Elizabeth hadn’t recovered from the car accident the night before. She sweated when she acted as the model.
Samuel sent Celia back to the apartment.
Samuel said, “Since you don’t want to be hospitalized, I can only have to.
Samuel was angry and wanted to go to the guest room, but Maria followed him and explained, “Mr. York, Miss Jones is having supper in the dining room.”
Walking through the corridor to the hall, Samuel heard a burst of laughter.
He stopped and heard Elizabeth boasting brazenly.
“You don’t know how rich my experience is in the past four years. I have driven a boat, raced a car, walked a catwalk for supermodels, and…”
“Elizabeth, why did you drink my wine without permission?” Samuel suddenly appeared, and everyone in the dining room was shocked.
