Lucien Gray looks at her eyes playfully. “So you want to get back together with me?”
Jasmine Harris nods hastily. “Yes, Lucien, I can't live without you!”
Lucien Gray shrugs, “Show me your chip.”
Jasmine Harris grits her teeth, “I will tell my dad to stop attacking you and there will be no competition with the Gray Family’s real estate business!"
“Such an attractive offer.” Lucien Gray smiles meaningfully.
Jasmine Harris’s eyes light up. She holds Lucien Gray’s hand. “Lucien, can you promise? Promise to get back with me?”
Lucien Gray smiles wickedly and holds her hand. “Why not? You have the best looking and an educated family. Besides, there is a golden hill behind you.”
While Lucien Gray behaves so utilitarian, Jasmine Harris doesn’t feel any uncomfortable. Instead, she thinks Lucien Gray tells the truth.
Which man will really give up his business for a beauty?
The interests behind a beauty are more important than a beauty herself.
But she still has doubts. Jasmine Harris shakes Lucien Gray’s hand pettily. “Lucien, what are you going to do with Nina Morrison? She’s been plaguing you. I hate it!”
Lucien Gray smiles. “Speaking of Nina Morrison, I have one more condition.”
“What condition?” Asks Jasmine Harris eagerly.
“Within a month, tell your dad that he must leave Nina Morrison alone. Not a hair of her.”
Jasmine Harris feels full of jealousy. “Why? Why you protect her when you promised to get back with me?”
Lucien Gray’s eyes darken, “Because after a month, we will be engaged. Before the engagement, I don’t want anything to go wrong.”
“Engagement? Lucien, you say you are going to get engaged to me? Engaged in a month?”
Jasmine Harris’s eyes are filled with ecstasy. Her voice trembles with excitement.
“Yes.” Lucien Gray answers briefly.
He looks at Jasmine Harris and stands up, “I still have work to do in the office. I am leaving. You take a taxi.”
Lucien Gray has always treated her this way. Not considerate. Jasmine Harris is used to it. She nods well-behaved, “Ok, Lucien, take good care of yourself.”
In the apartment, Nina Morrison stands in front of the window, looking out at the blue sky and white clouds.
This imprisonment has been going on for nearly a week. She feels like a beast in a cage, with more and more anxiety and panic.
Has Lucien Gray met Jasmine Harris? Why doesn’t he call me? Has he flinched?
Various nagging thoughts almost make her head exploded.
The cell phone on the sofa suddenly rings. Nina Morrison runs to answer the phone.
“Hi Nina, it's me.” Jasmine Harris’s voice is on the phone.
Nina Morrison is so disappointed. She nods slightly, “What’s up?”
