Nina Morrison runs away from Raymond Lauren’s car to her home. She takes off her dirty pants, takes two painkillers and takes a hot shower to feel better.
Just as she is getting ready for a good sleep, her phone rings again.
On the screen, Lucien Gray’s name flashes with green light. Nina Morrison looks at her phone screen and hesitates for a long time before she gets through.
There is no sound on the other end of the line.
“Hello?” Nina Morrison says but Lucien Gray is still silent.
What’s wrong? He dials the wrong number? Nina Morrison is about to hang up the phone when she hears a heavy breathing on the phone.
She holds the phone closer to her ear. Yes, sure enough that it is Lucien Gray breathing heavily. He seems to be trying to suppress something.
He is insane. Isn’t he supposed to be sleeping with Jasmine Harris right now? Why does he call her? To show off their love?
Furiously, Nina Morrison yells at the phone, “Lucien Gray, Please never bother me again!”
Then, regardless of his reaction, she hangs up the phone, throws it on the bedside table, pulls up the quilt and falls asleep.
What shit man, shit love! In front of benefits, everything is bullshit!
Nina Morrison wakes up at noon the next day. It’s only eight minutes to twelve o’clock.
After getting up and washing slowly, Nina Morrison opens her laptop. She wants to send more resumes.
If she can’t find a job, she will have nothing to eat.
A company called HSK stands out in a large advertisement. This is the TOP3 company in this industry, only slightly inferior to J&Y Group.
It’s still attractive to Nina Morrison.
Nina Morrison refines her resume and is about to click the send. Then it comes to her that Raymond Lauren has talked about HSK. He is familiar with the boss of this company.
After thinking about it, Nina Morrison dials Raymond Lauren’s number. If Raymond Lauren could help introduce her, she would get the job with a high probability.
“Hello!” Raymond Lauren’s voice sounds hoarse; he seems not in a good mood.
Nina Morrison swallows what she wants to say. She asks concernedly, “Director Lauren, is it inappropriate for me to call? Are you busy now?”
Raymond Lauren says with a bitter smile, “There is no inappropriate. I’m not busy. I have been fired. I won’t be busy in the short term.”
What? Director Lauren is fired by J&Y Group?
Nina Morrison’s jaw drops, “How...How could J&Y Group fire you?”
Director Lauren has done a great job and is Vice President Henry’s proud assistant. He is the outstanding staff every year. How could he be fired out of the blue?
