The next morning, the dean directly informed Pearl that she was no longer in charge of Richard. She was assigned to another VIP ward. Coincidentally, it was right next to Richard's room.
Pearl met many annoying patients before. But it was the first time to deal with someone as tiresome as this one.
"Does it hurt here?"
Pearl asked when she pressed on the man's chest.
"Not there. A little further down." the man replied.
"Here?"
"Further."
Pearl was speechless.
Her hand was on the man's lower abdomen, if lower...
She frowned and said unhappily, "Mr. Harris. The records show that your heart is not good, so that you need to stay in hospital. But if I go further down, I'm afraid you may have problems with prostate. I think you need to get a urologist."
Over only one morning, Mr. Harris had pressed the bell over for about eight times. He complained about suffering from pains all over his body. The nurse could do nothing for he would insist on asking Pearl to check on him.
"I don't need that. It's just a small problem." Mr. Harris grabbed Pearl's hand and started feeling her wrist. "But Dr. Yonng, your hand is so soft and beautiful."
Pearl almost throw up for his dirty look. She withdrew her hand hurriedly. "Mr. Harris, I think you're healthy now. You don't need me here."
After saying that, Pearl left directly. At least she could just stay away from him if she couldn't reject him straightforwardly.
But when she stepped out of the door, she saw a familiar figure striding towards her.
Richard was on his way to the ward after an endoscopic procedure. Pearl did not know why there was no nurse with him.
In the corridor, they were looking at each other. The air went still.
