Chapter 103
Faced with Selina’s deliberate humiliation, Manuel’s lips quivered as if sliced by a sharp knife, before he finally managed to squeeze out the words, “How did you do it. Selina?”
“Because I’m better than you, loser,’ she replied curtly, leaving Manuel speechless. If it were the past, Manuel would have retorted without hesitation. But now… Confronted with such a reality, all he could do was endure it. Losers never had the right to speak up.
At that moment, the organizer appeared, trophy in hand. He presented the champion’s trophy to Selina, along with a 500- thousand–dollar prize for Brilliance.
Manuel barely knew how he received the trophy, and flowers, and posed for photos. Had it been anyone else clinching the championship, he would have only respect, eager to learn from their design experience. But now… All that was left in him was numbness. He stumbled away from the venue.
Having achieved her goal, Selina held the champion’s trophy with pride. She gracefully stepped out in her high heels. As she passed through the corridor, she caught sight of a familiar figure. Her lips curved into a smile as she approached, “Honey, this is a present for you”
Trevon took the trophy from Selina, raising an eyebrow playfully. “Babe, you’re giving away such a grand gift to me?”
“To me, these trophies are nothing new, I’ve won so many they barely excite me anymore. But snagging a major award for your Brilliance Corporation and getting all this publicity. Honey, you’re gonna owe me for a long, long time.”
Selina was never the type to give something for nothing; on the contrary, she was quite greedy. Even though her initial reason for joining the Brilliance design competition was to torment Manuel, she was determined to extract some benefits from Trevon. The greater the reward, the more motivated she became
“Honey, I’ll always remember how you braved the brambles and shattered all doubts to win this trophy. You looked stunning, a beauty so overwhelming that I want to hide you away, to have you all to myself…
Trevon had always believed in Selina’s abilities. The way she had effortlessly dismissed the naysayers and turned the tide had dazzled him time and again. Selina’s dominating performance seemed like just the tip of the iceberg of her capabilities.
How could such a woman not make Trevon’s heart flutter and his gaze linger, making him want to spend his whole life admiring and cherishing her like a treasured possession?
“Keep talking. I love hearing compliments, especially from you, they seem so much more credible.”
Scoring genuine praise from Trevon was a rare chance for Selina. She didn’t care about anyone else’s opinion, and she sure wasn’t interested in being a masochist, enduring cold–hearted humiliation with a smile. Who didn’t love being praised?
Trevon, the gentleman he was, linked arms with Selina, his lips curled into a slight smirk, “There’s nothing I’d tire of saying to you, but right now, I’m more interested in showing you the surprise waiting outside. Ready to see it?
“Of course, after helping you out so much, I’ll take any gift you’ve got. It’s what I call a fair exchange?
Selina arrived at the outskirts of the competition venue accompanied by Trevon. As she looked upon the sea of flowers before her, her eyes shimmered with astonishment. The sea of flowers stretched endlessly on the horizon, composed of Stargazer lilies and purple columbines, with pink and purple hues intertwining. Standing on the stairs, she could discern a cleared space where the flowers spelled out her initials S.J.
The sheer beauty of the flowers wasn’t the only thing that amazed Selina. It was also the realization of what these particular flowers symbolized. The Stargazer lilies and purple columbines stood for victory.
No one who wasn’t wholeheartedly convinced from the start that Selina could take on Clark Jewelry, let alone outshine their star designer Derrick from the same company, would have thought to create this sea of flowers as a gift for her. Embedded

within it was the deep trust that Trevon had placed in Selina.

In the vast sea of people, it’s the intertwining of strangers‘ hearts through trust that’s the hardest to achieve. And Trevon had
done it.
Trevon’s deep, magnetic voice echoed in Selina’s cars, “999 Stargazer lilies and 999 purple columbines, arranged three days ago and flown in fresh from Frehar this morning. Honey, do you like this gift?*
Selina reached out and playfully pinched Trevon’s cheek. “You’ve pe test, Honey.
“It’s a shame though… this beautiful scene you’ve so thoughtfully prepared will have to be packed up soon.”
Tve rented this place for a month. Every day, fresh flowers will be flown in. 999 Stargazer lilies and 999 purple columbines arranged just like this. Come and see them whenever you wish.
Accustomed to Trevon’s extravagance and the influence of Insight Group, Selina teased, raising an eyebrow, “Don’t you think this is a bit too showy?”
“Just wait, I’ve got something even more spectacular to give you. Being Trevon’s wife is not for the faint–hearted.”
“Marrying a billionaire does straighten the spine, doesn’t it?” she joked, and the couple left cheerfully, invoking envy from onlookers.
Manuel steadied his emotions, weighed down by worry for Ashley and Sara, and put on a brave face despite his defeat.
