Did Selina come up with this design?” Sara was stunned by the creativity and the detail in the sketches. She would not have been too surprised if Ashley, who had an interest in jewelry design, had created the Shackled Hearts. But it had been Selina! 

Sara pinched herself secretly, hard. It hurt, confirming it wasn’t an illusion. She was thunderstruck that this countryside girl, who had been missing for twenty–one years and hadn’t even finished junior high, could design such an astounding piece. 

Trevon’s lips curved slightly as he turned and started heading downstairs.

But everything had gone awry! Selina had snatched the first place, shattering all of Timothy’s plans and turning his potential partnership with Angel into nothing but bubbles. Clark Jewelry had been forced into second place. 

Just as Timothy was about to call, a TikTok trend notification papped up on his phone.

“Anyway, solve it quickly!” Timothy’s command had its effect, and the trend was quickly wiped. 

In just a short span of time, this unintended promotion made Selina an even hotter topic online.

Only after several calls did Manuel snap back to reality, clenching his fists. He knew walking up to the stage meant accepting Selina’s supposed ridicule, but to decline would dishonor the Harvey family’s name. A man in the Harvey family couldn’t atford to lack grace! 

Every step Manuel took towards the stage felt heavy. He had braced himself for Selina’s scornful mockery, only to find she hadn’t even glanced his way. Instead, she was engaged in a cheerful conversation with Derrick. 

Being ignored like that was even more painful for Manuel. The past doubts and humiliation he had heaped on Selina now felt like invisible slaps to his face, but stinging all the same.
