Trevon was already waiting when Selina arrived home. 

Selina called out, “Darling.” She dropped her bag, jumped into Trevon’s arms barefoot, and added, “Something happened today. It made me so tired. Have you made my favorite cake?” 

Trevon responded, “Of course, Honey. Did Mom give you a hard time today?” He was anxious about Selina but had held back his urge to find her. He only dared to send her a WhatsApp message, asking how things were going. Yet, he only received an emoji telling him not to worry about her. 

“She didn’t. Instead, she was quite thoughtful of me…” Selina explained to Trevon why Viola had asked her out that day. 

Trevon breathed a sigh of relief. 

In Trevon’s arms, Selina smiled and said, “That’s who she is… Always sharp–tongued but tender–hearted. No wonder she gave birth to such a wonderful son like you.” 

Trevon asked, “You’re such a slick talker today. Did you secretly do something to betray 

me?” 

Selina retorted, “Huh! Trevon, I’m always kind and sweet. How dare you doubt my personality? Are you asking for a beating?” 

After some arguing, the two of them started kissing. The housekeepers were used to Trevon and Selina’s interactions, so they weren’t astonished. When the two of them. appeared, they would leave voluntarily to avoid being involved in it. 

The next day, Selina visited Charley’s modification factory. Despite the addition of nitrogen injection without deceleration in the earlier upgrade of the Bugatti Veyron, it caused significant damage to the vehicle. The Bugatti Veyron was Trevon’s first gift to Selina, and she loved it. So, she decided to perform the repair job herself. 

“Let me help you, Selina. Although I appear to lack skill, I do know a little about modification technology, though not as much as you,” Charley said, rubbing his hands. together, clearly intending to surreptitiously learn from her. 

Selina instructed, “Okay. Help me examine the data of the hub and exhaust pipe then.” 

Since Charley was Trevon’s friend and helped her, she wouldn’t be so mean to him. She would go to any length to protect those around her, whom she acknowledged and treated with genuine concern. She believed that pure friendship remained in the world,

While Selina and Charley were busy, a stranger appeared at the door. Lloyd was taken aback by Selina, his eyes filled with complications. 

Charley noticed a man but didn’t recognize him as Lloyd because he didn’t look closely enough. He simply assumed that someone ran to the modification factory without saying anything, claiming, “Hey, we’re not open today. Who are you… Lloyd? Damn it.” 

Upon hearing Lloyd’s name, Selina leaned out of the car and examined him meaningfully. 

Lloyd was no longer as high–spirited as he used to be when confronted with Selina. He had scruffy hair and a scratchy beard. It seemed that he hadn’t taken care of it in a long time, and even his eyes were sunken with dark circles. Now, he looked like a loser. With his appearance, no one would think he was the fourth son of the Harvey family and a former world racing champion. Lloyd quickly explained, “I didn’t expect this to be your modification factory. I’m here because of the good review.” 

Charley, raising an eyebrow, questioned, “Didn’t you quit the racing circle? And now you’re here to modify it, huh? Why? Do you want to break your word?” 

Lowering his eyes, Lloyd replied, “Quit racing… Yes, I’ve already quit, but I still have the right to drive, right? I just gave these things up and couldn’t think of anything else to do, so I thought about going out for some fresh air and fixing the car. Can’t I do that?” 

“Of course, you can. But I’ve reserved this facility for the entire day today. You’d better go somewhere else.” After saying that, Selina disregarded Lloyd and went about her own business. 

Seeing this, Lloyd gritted his teeth and wavered his gaze, indicating an inner battle. Finally, he stepped forward and said, “Selina, I still have something to tell you.” 

Selina didn’t even look at Lloyd, responding. I’m sorry, but I have nothing to say to you. I’m busy now and don’t want to chat to you. 

Lloyd said, “Selina, if you refuse, I’ll… wait here until 

you finish your work.” 

Selina felt his words were ridiculous. She rolled her eyes and looked at Charley, saying, “Charley, are the security guards here useless? Hurry up and chase him out. Otherwise, he’ll disturb our work.” 

Charley urged, “Lloyd, get out of here before Selina gets angry and I get scolded. Do you want to leave with dignity, or should I ask the security guards to drive you out?”

Lloyd remained inte, simply standing there and staring at Selina with flaming eyes. He would never leave without a satisfactory answer from Selina. 

“Security!” Charley couldn’t take it any longer so he summoned the security guards and chased Lloyd out. 

“Get off me!” Lloyd shouted. He was good at fighting, but he couldn’t handle too many people, and the security guards Charley recruited were skilled. He was soon hauled outside.
