Selina made her way to the underground parking lot when a call came through from Trevon. 

“Leaving early on your first day at work? Aren’t you afraid of getting your pay docked?” 

“What? Should Trevor’s wife be toiling away at a job? If so, then marrying such a rich husband seems like a loss, doesn’t it?” 

“Honey, it looks like you’re quite aware of your role as Trevour’s wife. With my money, you could spend for generations and still not run out. Since you’re getting off work early, come home for dinner soon. I want to hear your take on today’s experience at Brilliance.” 

Selina opened the door and settled into the driver’s seat of her Lamborghini, her face apologetic, “Sorry, hubby, tonight I have dinner with Malcolm and Lydia. You know how big a favor Malcolm has done for me, and he’s heading back to Mumzik in a few days. It’s only right to treat him to a meal”

Trevon’s reply had a stifled undertone, as if it were invisibly broadcasting that he was not happy and needed coddling. 

Selina couldn’t help chuckling 

Who would have thought that Trevon, so dignified that he seemed untouchable, would show such emotions just for her? They were alone. Trevon didn’t have to put on a front.

It’s funny how back when Selina first debuted as a designer named Angel, she pitched a piece to a big international brand and didn’t even feel nervous. Everything went smoothly. Now, presenting her work to Lydia and Malcolm felt way more nerve–racking! 

“Malcolm, we surely need to appreciate the grand gift Selina is gifting us,” Lydia said with a smile, raising their glasses of fine

“And there’s one more thing. Lydia, I’m planning to design an exclusive team bracelet for the band members of The Rose. What do you think of this draft for the bracelet?” 

The sparkle in Lydia’s eyes was unmistakable upon seeing the design, “This is incredible, Selinal We’re totally in sync, I’ve been wanting to get some kind of token for the members of The Rose, but sadly designing is not my cup of tea and I couldn’t find the right thing. But no wonder you’re the renowned jewelry designer Angel, your design is…” 

At that moment, they heard the sound of footsteps approaching 

“Angel?!” An excited and surprised voice filled the air. 

Selina turned her head and saw Manuel’s face shift from joy to astonishment. 

“You?” Manuel asked, disbelief edging his voice. 

Manuel had caught the mention of the name Angel. Or had he misheard? 

Selina responded with an icy laugh, “Why not me? Does Sokovis belong to you?” What rotten luck to run into Manuel right.

“What’s up? Manuel Ashley asked. When she noticed Selina, she looked taken aback, “Selina… you’re here for dinner too?” 

Ashley’s gaze flickered towards Lydia and Malcolm. Lydia she knew of, one could tell from his attire that she was not someone to be trifled with. Moreover, she was even more attractive than Ashley, which was truly infuriating!
