Never Late, Never Away Chapter 2200
“So, what do you want? Terminate the contract? If that’s what you want, I’m fine with that. I’m better off resting at home. Also, you’re not qualified to discuss these matters with me.”
Immediately, Noelle felt a stab of anger.
Delilah was right, for she actually had to file a request to come here. Clearly, Delilah knew her company well.
“Ms. Young, what are you talking about? You’re asking me what do I want? Well, I want to help you load the pots into my car, of course. Anyways, it’s getting late, huh? So let’s finish up quickly.” Noelle forced a smile.
“Oh, it is getting dark. I’ll continue moving the pots, then.” Delilah turned and sauntered away.
She knew that she was justified. As such, she had no reason to fear Noelle. Delilah snickered before shaking her head. She then exhaled out loud.
Young girls nowadays are too childish. They want to show themselves off even though they are incapable of doing anything, she lamented silently.
When Delilah finally arrived home, Joan came to welcome her. “Ms. Young, did she deliberately make things difficult for you?”
She knew Noelle was here to cause trouble for her, so she didn’t want to drag Delilah into the mess.
“Don’t worry, I’m fine, albeit a little tired. I’m going to go take a short nap.” After saying that, Delilah collapsed onto the couch.
She seemed utterly drained. Joan lowered her gaze worriedly.
“Her name’s Noelle Ford, right? She’s a troublemaker, that one. Be careful of her.”
Hearing her advice, Joan nodded before returning to the kitchen.
She had experienced Noelle’s actions firsthand. She felt like she was caught in an awkward position, for the woman kept misunderstanding her and Caiden.
“Got it,” she uttered softly.
“Mom!” Lucius’ voice rang out clearly.
“Grandma, are you okay?” Lucius came to Delilah and touched her forehead carefully.
“I’m fine. I just need to take a quick nap.”
