Never Late, Never Away (Vivian and Finnick) novel Chapter 3013

Chapter 3013

"Caspian, what if the child she's carrying isn't yours?" Nancy asked.

What nonsense is she spouting? Of course, the child is his.

Who else could have fathered the child? Irritated by her ridiculous question, Caspian looked out of the window and ignored her.

Nancy smiled.

She had fully expected this reaction from him, so she wasn't offended at all.

"Caspian, don't say I didn't remind you. These days, you can't believe everything that others tell you. They can claim it was their first time or that they're pregnant with your child, but all that may not be true."

Nancy said it with such calm and conviction that she didn't look like she was joking.

That infuriated Caspian even more.He stared daggers at her, wondering what she meant by that.

"I've said all that I wanted to say.The rest is up to you.I suggest you look into things a bit more closely.Good luck."

With that, Nancy grabbed her coat and left the café.

Caspian, now alone, looked utterly devastated.

Even though Nancy's words were direct and harsh, Caspian had to admit that she did make a lot of sense.

The more he thought about what she had mentioned, the more he frowned.

If he found out that he had been lied to, he wouldn't let that woman off easily! Back at home, Caspian had only just walked into the living room when Lisa pouted at him.

"Where have you been, Caspian? I missed you so much"

Is that so? Why didn't she call me then? Caspian eyed the woman in front of him suspiciously, Nancy's words still ringing in the back of his head.Lisa was taken aback by his reaction and looked at him warily.

What's wrong with him? Something feels off.

"Let's go for a checkup tomorrow;’ Caspian suddenly said.

What now? Why does he suddenly want me to go for a checkup? Despite her worries, she knew she had no choice but to agree to it.

What she didn't know was that Caspian fully intended to find out how far along she was.

It was the only way to ascertain if the child was his.
