She had gone through an extremely hard time too.
"Are you sure you want to do this?" Caspian clutched Jessica's small hands in his.
He had never imagined that the woman in front of him would be kind enough to take care of someone else's child.
What else is there to do? Am I supposed to watch that child become an orphan? Jessica sighed.
She knew what orphans had to go through and couldn't bear actively allowing a child to become one if she could help it.
Her parents were dead, making her an orphan.
The luckiest thing that happened among it all was that she was already grown up when it happened, and of course, meeting Larry was practically a blessing.
"Yes, I'm sure.
We're going to take proper care of this child and make sure they grow up well,’ Jessica answered determinedly.
Caspian was full of gratitude.
Joan was touched by the scene in front of her.
“Are you feeling better?" Joan asked as she entered a different ward.
“Yes, My baby's been good the last few days, so I haven't been getting kicked." Lisa said happily as she gently caressed her belly.
The hospital that Jessica was in also had a specialized block where their psychiatric ward was located, so Lisa and her were actually in the same hospital.
However, the two of them rarely met.
"Joan, has Jessica really forgiven me? Did she really agree to take care of my baby?" the young lady asked carefully.
Silly girl. Why would anyone lie about that? Besides, Jessica is still a very kind lady.
She wouldn't hold a grudge over something like this.
"Relax. Don't worry about anything else for now and just focus on taking care of yourself, okay? Caspian and Jessica made it clear that you're still going to be your kid's biological mother.
They're just the godparents,” Joan answered gently.
