Never Late, Never Away (Vivian and Finnick) novel Chapter 3343

Chapter 3343 Using Love As An Excuse

When the thought hit her, Mia’s fury sprang to life. She strode toward Herman in her high heels and slapped his face forcefully.

The next moment, her pitchy voice rang out, “Herman Clear, you promised you wouldn’t let Megan know about it once I paid your gambling debt. How could you lie to me?”

Being knocked sideways, Mia shook her head in disbelief. She staggered a few steps backward as her legs gave way, and she immediately held onto the chair to steady herself.

Initially, she gave Herman the hush money mainly because Osmond was worried that Jake might take revenge on her. If Herman told Megan that she was the one who plotted everything, it would cause her a lot of trouble.

Hence, that was why she bit the bullet and drank with Anderson.

Mia had given a huge amount of hush money and even slept with other men only for Megan to tell her that she already knew about her being the culprit. It was just that Megan was keeping silent all the while, for she didn’t want to bother about it.

Upon that realization, Mia lowered her head, and her fingers trembled. All she wanted at that moment was to flay Herman alive.

“No… Mia, I lied to you because I love you!” Herman cried out.

Hearing him using love as an excuse, Megan was so disgusted that she started to retch.

She could sense Jake’s gaze falling upon her, yet she dared not look at him. She knew he must be unhappy with her for not telling him about Herman and Mia’s misdeeds.

Yet, she never regretted it. If she told him earlier, they wouldn’t get the chance to witness this farce.

Unlike Megan’s lightheartedness, Mia was in agony. Glowering at Herman, she clenched her fists upon hearing him saying he loved her.

She was so angry that her hands were shaking. With all her might, she once again slapped Herman’s face. “Shut up! How dare you say you love me! You have lied to me for my money. Not only that, you even approached me on purpose when I was in despair and played with my feelings. Herman Clear, I should be grateful that I finally found out about your true color!”
