"I don’t regret it, and I’d do it again if I had to.”
Moose was nearly moved to tears. He exaggeratedly patted Linus on the back and said, “Linus, you’re a real man. No wonder Gwen can’t forget you. No matter how you reject her, she still wants to be with you. If I were a woman, I wouldn’t be able to resist you either!”
Linus’ expression turned icy cold. “You'd better stop with the nonsense.”
Moose covered his mouth, indicating that he would not dare say such things again.
“Alright, I won’t waste any more time with you. Where’s Mr. Zimmer? I need to report to him in person.” Linus locked the car.
“He’s waiting for you in the suite on the 25th floor.”
After receiving instructions from Linus to prepare the briefing for the next mission, Moose skedaddled.
…
Daniel Zimmer was Gwen’s grandfather, and he was currently speaking to her about something.
“Grandpa, when Linus arrives, you must help me persuade him. He hasn’t called me at all the past few days. I’ve been the one calling him, but he still refuses to answer…”
“I’m sorry you have to go through this.”
Aside from Linus, Daniel was the only one in the Zimmer family who was a little nicer to her. However, Daniel had many other grandchildren, so his little affection did not matter much. It could not compare to Linus’ kindness toward her!
