"Where should we begin?” Although Koven could not fully understand their plan, he could still grasp some of it.
Charlie pushed up his glasses and said to Matthew and Hudson, “First, withdraw the funds from that investor. Then, inform Sunrise Group that there are issues with the project, so visitors will be temporarily prohibited. Once these two steps are done, the rest will fall into place.”
Matthew and Hudson nodded and exchanged glances.
“Let’s go back to your company, Hudson. I need to pick Lucy up. Koven, are you coming with us?” Matthew patted Hudson on the back and turned to Koven.
“Of course! Let’s go, I’m excited to see how Lucy’s designs turned out.” Koven stood up excitedly.
Then, Matthew turned to Charlie and asked, “Are you coming with us or will you be staying to finish your meal?”
Charlie smiled and replied, “I have something to attend to, so I’ll be leaving now.”
“If the four of us need to discuss anything else in the future, let’s meet here. Since it’s Matthew’s restaurant, there shouldn’t be any issues,” Hudson suggested, and the three nodded in agreement.
…
In the office, Lucy was getting increasingly upset that Matthew was ignoring her messages and calls.
Meanwhile, Koven, Matthew, and Hudson had arrived at the company.
The moment Matthew pushed open the door to Lucy’s office, he spotted her vigorously hammering a stuffed panda while muttering under her breath, “Stupid Matthew, you’re not even replying to my messages now…”
He smirked when he heard that and was about to sneak up on her to surprise her.
However, when Koven saw how upset Lucy was, he quickly bypassed Matthew and rushed over to pat her on the back.
