Chapter 1031 Extraordinary Beauty
Two days had passed.
Elisa invited Will to a lunch meeting to finalize the cooperation proposal with the Darcey Group.
They met in a private room, just as they always had.
Elisa had only made a phone call to Will, and the latter accepted her invitation in a heartbeat.
They were sitting face to face at this moment, and Will was beaming with pleasure.
He stared at the woman and was in awe of her ethereal beauty.
He couldn't help but let out a sigh.
Elisa looked up at him, puzzled, "What's wrong? Is there any problem with the proposal?"
"Of course not. I trust your capability and know you'd not fail me."
Elisa raised an eyebrow, "Then why did you suddenly sigh?"
Will pulled his lips together and shook his head, seeming helpless, "I was just languishing if a woman as brilliant and perfect as you would ever become mine."
Elisa lowered her head and continued eating without saying a word. But Will didn't give up, "Or, to put it another way, I hope to be your boyfriend."
Elisa still didn't want to respond to his gibberish. She paused and then looked at the man still staring at her. Her lips twitched as she said, "Is it so difficult for you to eat quietly?"
With a click of his tongue and legs crossed, Will tapped on the table with no discernible rhythm. Each beat struck her heart with an unsettling resonance, like a faint buzzing that she couldn't ignore.
Elisa stopped reaching for the dish and looked up at him as if to convey her discontentment or probably just wanted to glean from his expression.
Seeing her reaction, Will sighed, stopped tapping, and deftly served her food. Coincidentally, it was a tomato, one of the few foods that Elisa disliked.
Looking at her slightly wrinkled brows, Will smiled wryly, "I didn't know you're a picky eater too."
"It's completely normal to be a picky eater," Elisa replied, looking at the tomato on her plate and not wanting to touch it.
Will spoke again, "Tomatoes are nutritious, and you should eat a balanced meal."
"Although tomatoes are nutritious, other foods can replace them as well. And I don't lack the nutrition from tomatoes." Elisa said indifferently.
Will beamed and looked at her, "Looks pretty healthy, doesn't it?"
Elisa remained silent; she had got used to Will's temperament. When she didn't feel like talking, he wouldn't either. After their meal, Elisa said, "Let's talk about cooperation."
"It's all up to you. You're the boss." Will lightly prodded his temple with his right index finger.
Elisa pursed her lips and handed him the contract, "Take a look at it. If everything's okay, you can sign it."
Normally, a lawyer would be present at a business cooperation meeting like this. But Will didn't bother to hire a lawyer, nor did he bother to glance at the contract before signing it.
Elisa's eyes flickered, "Aren't you going to read it first?"
Now that she had signed and stamped it, the indenture was complete, with Will doing the same. But it didn't match his habit of signing a contract without going through it first.
She stared at him as if giving him one last chance to go through the contract again. If there were any disputes, he could back out of the agreement.
