Chapter 1032 Pressure
But Will didn't seem to care at all. He smiled and said, "Don't worry, you'll be mine sooner or later. And everything I have will eventually be yours."
Elisa remained silent. She took one copy of the contract and said to him, "Next time, be more careful. Otherwise, I have a feeling Mr. Darcey will be in for a nasty surprise."
After speaking, Elisa stood up and got ready to leave. They had settled the contract over lunch, and nothing was left to say.
Just as she strutted to the door, Will abruptly grabbed her wrist. Elisa tried to pull her hand back, but he held it firmly.
She looked at him, annoyed. "Let go."
"What if I refuse?" Will stood up as he spoke.
Just moments ago, Elisa towered over the man, but as he rose, she suddenly felt his oppressive presence. She took a slight inhale and instinctively stepped back, but Will was closing in on her.
She furrowed and looked at him incredulously, "What are you doing?"
"Liz, I was just thinking, if I had waited any longer, would I have missed my chance with you?"
She looked at him in confusion, wondering when he had ever had a chance with her.
Elisa took two more steps back, trying to struggle free, but paid no heed to her surroundings and found herself backed up against the corner of the wall.
Will stepped forward with a hand against the wall, overlooking her with a charming smile.
"Liz, take a good look at me. I'm not any worse than Gareth," he said as he leaned closer.
His handsome face suddenly loomed in front of her. Elisa took a deep breath, instinctively avoiding his longing gaze, "Snap out of it, Will."
She lifted her other unrestrained hand as she spoke, but before she could push him away, he had already grabbed her hand.
Will let out a faint sigh; his eyes showed tenderness and longing as he said powerlessly, "Liz, I know you'll never come to me if I don't make the first move."
"Well, I can't be bothered even if you made the first move, Will. I never planned to waste my emotions on any man again," Elisa replied.
She suddenly withdrew her hands and pushed Will away. To her surprise, this time, she succeeded. Unlike Gareth, Will didn't pursue her further. Feeling relieved, she promptly grabbed her bag and exited the room without glancing at Will.
Will declared in his tender voice, "I won't give up on you, Liz. I am confident; eventually, you'll let me into your heart."
Elisa gasped as she picked up her pace. She had always known Will had feelings for her, but she didn't bother because she knew he was a person with discretion. But now, his constant pursuit had frightened her.
She knew that they would cross paths again in future collaborations, but if Will continued to behave like this, she had no choice but to stay away from him. Eventually, Elisa left the room with clarity of mind.
