“I'll hang up now. We can catch up when we return.”
“Okay.”
Rachel hung up the phone after that.
She rose from her desk and walked out of the office, only to find Vincent standing at the door, holding a bouquet of flowers. As Vincent looked at her, a smile spread across his face.
When her assistant notified her that someone was looking for her, she didn't even consider that it might be Vincent.
She hadn't seen Vincent for a few days and assumed he had given up. Unexpectedly, he made a comeback.
Rachel turned around and walked away when she spotted Vincent.
“Wait up!”
Vincent quickly caught up and immediately positioned himself in front of her.
Rachel kept a cold expression on her face and couldn't be bothered to respond.
Despite that, Vincent didn't let her leave. “Pretty Rachel, I have something to discuss with you. Can you please listen to me before deciding whether to leave or not?”
Rachel remained indifferent. “You have something to discuss, and what does it have to do with me? I thought I made myself very clear last time.”
“If I had known you would act like this, I would have sorted out the paperwork between us while you were unconscious. That way, you wouldn't have had the chance to turn heartless as soon as you woke up.”
Seeing her attitude, Vincent immediately regretted his harsh words.
A hint of menace flashed in her eyes. “If you had really done that, I would've sent you to hell!”
“So, you do realize that it's called murdering your own husband, don't you?” Vincent sneered, resentment written across his face.
This woman is so indifferent, fierce, and ruthless!
