Before Gareth could finish speaking, Winslow had already interrupted him angrily.
Immediately after, Winslow snarled furiously, “Get out of her line of sight. If I ever see you within a meter of her again, I'm going make your life a living hell!”
As soon as he had finished saying that, he turned around and left.
However, his men had Gareth completely surrounded.
The person in the lead was Joseph.
Josh was exceedingly straightforward. “Gareth, you only had that kind of glory last time because you were with Ms. Benett. Now, she's in trouble. Mr. Knowles is also only giving you an hour. You'd better hurry up and settle things. Don't make him angry.”
Of course, Gareth would never comply with that.
But as he persisted, he received a call from Julia.
From the moment he found some leads to his arrival in Moranta, he hadn't received a single phone call in all that time. The person he had arranged to stay by his grandmother's side also hadn't sent any news.
Thus, that phone call instantly sent a jolt through his heart.
The call connected, and Julia's weathered voice drifted into his ear. “When are you coming back, Gareth? It's been a long time since I've seen Liz. For some inexplicable reason, my head hurts badly recently!”
Julia didn't know what was going on, but Gareth knew it all too well.
All of that was because of Kaylee.
“Grandma, can you... can you please hang on a little longer? I'm waiting for Liz to sort things out here. Then, we'll go back.”
His heart suddenly clenched.
However, Elisa had presently been taken to the Middle East by Mr. Carrerra, and sorcery was inherently hard to decipher.
