“All right. I'll wait for you.”
Kaylee laughed out loud. On the other hand, Gareth's face turned extremely dark.
He did not even give Kaylee a single response after that and directly hung up the phone.
Thomas was also feeling anxious.
Troubling events kept coming one after another, each just as worrisome as the next.
Thomas had something to say, but he did not know where to start.
In the end, he chose silence.
Meanwhile, Elisa had awakened.
She saw Mr. Carrerra sitting next to her and instantly understood everything.
“Are you hungry?” Mr. Carrerra noticed her gaze on him. A deep smile swept across his face.
At that moment, his tone was a gentle one, and his gaze was even more tender.
However, it was all a facade!
Elisa gave him a cold glance, not wanting to waste her breath on him.
Mr. Carrerra was not affected. “We've only flown a third of the way. You should eat something, otherwise your body won't be able to handle it.”
Then, he turned around and motioned his subordinates with his eyes. They understood their task and proceeded with the arrangements.
“Ms. Benett, please accept my sincerity.”
While Elisa ignored him, Mr. Carrerra threw another comment her way.
His so-called sincerity was simply not tying her up.
There lied a problem.
He was the one who had brought her here, so it was futile no matter how well he treated her now.
Elisa glared at Mr. Carrerra. Her voice was stern as she shouted, “If you don't want me to make a move, you'd better tell the pilot to turn around.”
Mr. Carrerra chortled lightly. He barely paid attention to what Elisa was saying.
It was clear that the stalemate between him and her would continue.
