With a cold snort, Elisa didn't even bother to spare Mr. Carrerra a glance.
Mr. Carrerra, however, was skeptical. “You were only discovered by them after a few hours. Are you sure they can move this fast?”
Mr. Carrerra believed that they couldn't react that quickly.
Is it necessary to go over there? Can't he get someone in the Middle East to conduct the search?
A smirk broke out across Elisa's lips, one that wasn't lost upon Mr. Carrerra.
He sneered, “No matter how strong one is, it's tough to go against someone on their own turf. The person from the Middle East would never dare to provoke me.”
Naturally, Elisa understood the meaning of those words, but she chose not to point it out.
She never shortchanged herself, but she didn't eat much either.
There was still a lot left, but Elisa simply pushed the uneaten portion aside.
Mr. Carrerra was very attentive. He subsequently handed her the water politely.
“If only we had started off by cooperating from the beginning.”
As he spoke, Mr. Carrerra let out a long sigh.
Seeing him in this state, Elisa glared at him.
He sure talks a lot!
Mr. Carrerra noticed the disdain in Elisa's eyes, but he didn't change his tone because of it. “I'm just stating the facts. If I had known how capable you are, and that you could help me later on, I would never have gone against you in the first place.”
Better to gain a friend than to make an enemy.
Moreover, he would undoubtedly need Elisa's assistance in the future.
Elisa found those words somewhat amusing.
She immediately retorted, “You initially sent five people to stop me and steal my stuff, and now, you're saying you want to be friends with me?”
Mr. Carrerra didn't see the problem in it. In fact, he even felt somewhat wrongly accused.
